We are retired and are home most of the day. Your pet will get frequent walks/hikes customized for the activity level that you request. We hang out at night doing various things and your dog will be with us as a part of our family.

We offer hosting services because we enjoy pets. Just prior to retiring we lost our dog, Lidia of 16 years. She, like our previous dogs, was a rescue that we adopted at 6 weeks old.

We welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes with good manners- friendly with humans and other dogs and without bad habits like excessive barking or destructive behavior like digging. Your pet must be crate trained or be able to sleep on its on a dog bed in our den. We have a lot of experience with puppies and love these little guys as well.

Wake up, tea and coffee for humans, breakfast, hugs and visiting with your dog. Here are some of the places we will take our walks, all tailored to the appropriate exercise level of our visitor. We have sidewalks, streets and short trails in our neighborhood, including a very large grassy park. In additional we have hiking trails in the national forest close by. We have room to play in the yard as well. Hanging out throughout the day inside and out. Your dog's sleeping arrangement will vary based on your dog's needs. Most visitors will sleep in the main living area of our home. We'd like you to bring their bed and/or crate. Your dog will be fed according to your instructions for all meals and treating. Since we are retired, your dog will get plenty of attention throughout the day. We treat visitors like family members including chilling out together at night watching movies, listening to music or playing games. Then a treat and off to bed.

My family and I have served as a foster home for many dogs, puppies and kittens from Second Chance Rescue and Hop-A-Long Rescue for over 17 years. We have also had many of our own pets including three dogs we adopted as puppies. We care for friend's pets and they call our home the "ultimate dog getaway."

Alma and her husband Jon were absolutely amazing! They stepped in last minute the night before to watch our dog and made the whole process so easy and stress-free. They sent consistent updates, which we really appreciated, and it was clear our dog was well cared for and comfortable the entire time.
