Loving, Family-Run In-Home Dog Care
II’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. My first best friend was a dog named Crazy when I was four years old, and ever since, dogs have been a constant part of my life. Over the years, I’ve cared for several dogs of my own and have provided trusted, in-home dog care for families throughout the Greater Boston area, nearby surrounding towns, and for out-of-state families visiting or temporarily staying in the area. At home, dogs are welcomed into a calm, family-run environment where they are treated as part of the household. While I am your primary caregiver and main point of contact, my husband and our daughters are part of our day-to-day routine and help create a warm, safe, and truly home-like experience. Days include attentive care, long walks, playtime, cozy downtime, and plenty of cuddles, always tailored to each dog’s personality and routine. I’m happy to send regular photo and video updates so you can feel relaxed and connected while you’re away. We speak both English and Spanish, and after spending time hearing Spanish at home, some pups seem to “turn bilingual.” Don’t be surprised if your dog comes home saying “guau guau” instead of “woof woof.” 😉 My approach to care is thoughtful, patient, and detail-oriented. I take pride in offering a boutique, family-style experience where each dog receives individualized attention, affection, and respect. I look forward to welcoming your pup into our home, Alma 🐾

Alma and her family were wonderful! Our dog, Louie, stayed with them for two weeks while we were away. Communication between us was always easy, and we got tons of pictures and updates. Louie came back home looking happy and healthy, and it was clear to us that he was well taken care of while we were away. Thanks Alma!

Genuinely loves and cares about dogs !
This was our first ever time leaving our puppy with someone else and we could not have been happier with the outcome. Alma and her family are very loving and caring. Cash had such a fun time with them and loved them so much! We hope Alma is able to watch him next time we are out of town!
Excellent experience! Our dog was very happy during her 1 week stay with Alma. We were updated with photos and videos of her everyday. She also helped celebrate our dog’s birthday :) I will choose Alma for future boarding!

Schedule
Pet care is a central part of our daily routine. I work part-time on weekday mornings, and my husband works from home, which allows us to provide consistent, in-home dog care throughout the day. Dogs are rarely left alone and receive regular walks, playtime, calm enrichment, and plenty of cuddles on both weekdays and weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
I prioritize safety, routine, and calm handling. For in-home dog boarding and dog sitting, I follow each dog’s usual schedule as closely as possible, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, and rest time. Care is always adjusted to the dog’s personality. Some dogs prefer space, while others seek extra reassurance and affection. I have experience caring for dogs who are reactive or easily overstimulated and use a calm, patient approach with positive reinforcement to help them feel secure. Dogs are always kept on leash during walks and potty breaks unless in a fully fenced area. I closely monitor weather, environment, and stress signals to keep dogs comfortable and safe at all times.
A typical day
A typical day includes an early walk around the neighborhood, meals following the dog’s normal routine, and a mix of outdoor activity and rest. Depending on the dog, we enjoy additional walks, visits to quiet local fields, games like fetch, and relaxed playtime at home. Throughout the day, dogs are included in our family routine with plenty of downtime, gentle interaction, and cuddles, always matched to their energy level.
