Safety, trust & environment

At your house, I try to acclimate to your pet's schedule as much as possible. In addition, I try to make drop-ins and house-sitting more than just bathroom breaks or feedings. Pets need attention and deserve more than that in order to thrive including play time and love. I always try to give daily updates including pics and videos if they do something too cute to miss. I will always take in your mail and packages and water any plants with any service if you would like! For overnight stays, I will take out trash if needed.

Information Allyson W. would like to know about your pet

Their overall temperament (energetic, laid back, etc.), any unique behaviors, pre-existing conditions, or habits. Also, any tricks or commands they have learned and the rules of the house. As long as your pet can overall mind their manners and have a good overall demeanor, I have no issues with what others might call rowdy pets. My motto, which I hope others live by as well is: treat others as you would like to be treated. I will always try to provide this kind of environment for your pets and you— the owner.

A typical day

Any pet in my care should expect lots of pets and kind words, fun games as well as exercise depending on the dog and their energy level and time of year. I try to limit outdoor exercise during the hot summer months for their safety. Treats are another important part of a stay if the parent(s) approve. Lastly, a combo of relaxing and snuggles if that is what the precious pet would like.

Pet care experience

I am a hard-working recent graduate school graduate looking for an enjoyable job to help pay some bills and make an emergency fund. I have loved and cherished pets all my life because I was never able to have my own as a child due to the house rules. I have been petsitting since I was a freshman in high school. I learned that the joy of taking care of pets has been the best job I have had the privilege of performing. I have been a pet caretaker substitute many times in case the usual sitter became ill. However, I did have many consistent customers before moving to the big city. I have taken care of all ages including young, adult, and elderly pets. I have been able to care for up to 6 pets at once and at a client's house as well as watering plants, getting the mail, and taking out the trash. Since then, I have been hired by her again 6 times before she had to move. Also, I stayed at a client's house for 2 months with two 1-year-old collie mixes while she was on vacation and was hired again twice when she was away again on vacation. I took care of a family friend's elderly, sweet golden retriever a few times while she was on trips. I have also taken care of birds, turtles, fishes , and a bunny multiple times if you are looking for other types of pet care. All of them were experiences that I cherished. Additionally, I have taken care of pets with special needs such as those that require oral medicine, specific feeding needs due to teeth loss, anxious pets, and those with exercise requirements in the past. Since then I have honed my petsitting skills including different methods of administering meds, cleaning up more complex accidents, handling emergency pet health situations, multi pet behavioral outbursts, putting on and replacing doggy diapers, and pet first aid. I try constantly and consistently to be a sincere and kind person to people and animals and I would love to meet your animals. I have some obligations at this time due my primary job search but I always try to be flexible, put your needs first, and I would love to hear from you. Lastly, as a young woman, I would prefer to not be out after dark, so my cut-off is around 8:30 pm for drop ins and dog walking. I hope this is not a deterrent, but I understand if you seek another petsitter. I wish the best for anyone reading this and I hope to possibly have you and your pet as a client.

Allyson stayed at my home and took very good care of my 3 year old Frenchie, Saylor. I highly recommend Allyson, as she proved to be caring and trustworthy. She went above and beyond in caring for Saylor and my home as well.

Allyson did an amazing job with our two senior pets, even convincing our very shy cat to come out and get some pets! I also think she left our home even cleaner than we left it for her! Highly recommend!
