Information Allyson P. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting a dog, I would like to know when they normally eat, how much they eat, how many potty breaks they take, what treats they are allowed to have, and any triggers they may have (things that make them uncomfortable or scared). It would be very helpful if I received a dog bowl, poop bags, and dog toys. I prefer dogs that are hypoallergenic for long term care. All breeds are welcome for shorter stays.
A typical day
I like to go on walks at a local park or hiking if the dog is acclimated to longer car rides. In fenced in areas, I will run around and play fetch with the dog. At home, we will play hide and seek, cuddle, and attempt to learn new tricks.

Pet care experience
In college, I was a socializer for service dogs in training and have had over 15 dogs through the program. I try to have at least 30 minutes of training/sharpening their skills. I believe in positive reinforcement by a correction and then redirecting their attention to good behavior. For example, if they were chewing on my shoe, I would say "no" firmly as I take the shoe away, and then give them a dog toy and say "good" in a happy voice. Just like you, I have thousands of pictures of dogs on my phone. I know it's tough to spend time away from your pets so I will send you daily pictures of your dog on our walks, in funny poses, or learning a new trick. Every pet will experience my fantastic belly rubs and kisses. With your permission, they will get a lot of yummy treats for obedience training and join me on hikes or when I work remotely at coffee shops! I do work remotely full time so I am very flexible with walking dogs and Housesitting. I have had experience with short and long term house sits through Rover and Housesitters America. Fantastic experience
The sense of calm we had while Allyson cared for our sweet Loki meant the world to us! She cared for our fur baby and our home like it was her own. We got frequent pictures and updates throughout our vacation, which allowed us to witness all the great things he was doing with her, some of which we hadn’t even done with him! We love Allyson and wouldn’t think of using anyone else!
Ally was wonderful. It was our first time leaving the boys behind. She met us multiple times before we left to give them (and us) time to adjust. The boys took to her and felt very comfortable. She regularly checked in with pics, videos, and FaceTimes. Thanks Ally for taking care of the bros.
Allyson was great with our two dogs. She watched them on the 4th of July and made sure they weren’t scared of the fireworks. She provided lots of updates and they seemed to be very comfortable and happy with her.
