Hi! I’m Allyson, a dedicated animal lover located on the SE side of Cedar Rapids. I offer reliable, loving dog walking and care with a flexible schedule to fit your pet’s needs. I have hands-on pet-sitting and walking experience with a variety of animals. I've cared for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, with breed experience ranging from Chihuahuas and Bulldogs to Shelties and German Shepherds. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience pet sitting and fostering bunnies and understand their unique care, routines, and gentle handling needs I grew up in a home where animals were family- helping care for cats, a Miniature Schnauzer, and a Golden Doodle. As an adult, I’ve rescued multiple kittens, cared for a Saint Bernard, fostered two bunnies, and I currently have two cats of my own. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and temperaments, including rescue animals. After losing my own dogs, I’m not quite ready to adopt again—but I have plenty of love, patience, and attention to give to yours. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always follow your instructions closely. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member!

Your dog’s safety and happiness are always my top priorities. I take time to get to know each dog’s personality, routines, and any special needs so every walk is calm, positive, and stress-free. I follow all owner instructions carefully, including leash preferences, feeding or medication needs, and behavioral cues. Dogs are always kept on leash unless otherwise agreed, and I stay alert to surroundings, traffic, and other animals to ensure safe, controlled walks. I treat every dog as if they were my own and believe trust is built through consistency, patience, and clear communication. I’m happy to provide updates, photos, and notes after each walk so you always know how your pup is doing.

Allyson is an amazing, caring person; who is a great caregiver of pets. Allyson has had many pets herself that she has taken care of, and has had successful pet sitting jobs before, but let me give you an example of why she goes the extra mile. I had an issue that prevented me from taking care of my dogs one evening, and not only did she go all the way across town to help with my dogs, she was able to take care of their needs with no prior experience with my dogs or my dogs "quirks". She handles everything really well and you can tell she really loves the pets. If you are looking for someone who cares about the critters they take care of, and one that can adapt to your pet's needs, Allyson is the person for you.
Allyson is very patient and kind to animals. She takes the time to make sure the dog she is caring for is well taken care of! Allyson will give the extra time needed to make sure the pet has what they need to be happy!

Schedule
I'm currently working part-time in the evenings, so I have a very flexible schedule in the morning and early afternoon. I also have weekend availability as needed!
