Pet care experience

Let me say hi to your dog!!

I had a chocolate lab named Cooper growing up, and then a yellow lab puppy named Sully! This taught me how to live with senior dogs and young puppies. I would also walk a lot of neighborhood dogs during high school, so I have a lot of experience working with unfamiliar dogs.

Safety, trust & environment

I will be sure to follow any instructions because I know how much dogs like their routine. Along with this, I think just being a calm presence in the home goes a long way for a successful dog sit. I love to play fetch, brush dogs, go on walks, and anything else the dog wants to do!

I’m happy to recommend my daughter, Ally, as she applies to become a Rover pet care provider. Our family has had dogs since she was eight years old, so dogs have been a pretty big part of her life. She has grown up learning what it takes to care for a dog and, more importantly, has always genuinely loved having them around. Over the years, I’ve seen how naturally she connects with dogs and how much she cares about their well-being. She is patient, responsible, and dependable, and I know she understands that taking care of someone’s dog is a responsibility that shouldn’t be taken lightly. When someone is trusting you with their pet, they need to know that you are going to show up, pay attention, follow their instructions, and treat their dog like you would your own. I have no doubt that she would do exactly that. One of the things I’ve always appreciated about her is that she is very attentive to animals. She understands that every dog is different, and she takes the time to get to know their personality and what makes them comfortable. She also has plenty of experience dealing with the everyday things that come with having dogs—from walks and feeding to keeping an eye on them and making sure they are safe. Obviously, I’m her dad, so I’m a little biased, but I also know her well enough to say that I wouldn’t recommend her for something like this if I didn’t think she would do a great job. I would have no problem trusting her with our own dogs, and I would feel just as comfortable recommending her to a friend who needed someone to care for their pet. I think Rover would be a great fit for her, and I’m confident that she would be someone that both the dogs and their owners would enjoy having around.

I’m a server at two restaurants so I have time before or after my shifts to check in on your pup! Weekdays are good for me but I can definitely fit in some weekend times if needed.
