It’s important for me to know as much as possible about each pet’s personality, preferences, and routine before sitting for them. This includes their feeding schedule, any special medical needs, behavioral quirks, and what they like to do for fun. I also like to know what their usual bathroom schedule is like, how they interact with other animals or people, and if there are any specific commands or toys they prefer. That way, I can make sure I’m meeting their needs and keeping them as happy as possible while their parents are away.
A typical day
I’m all about keeping pets active and happy while they’re in my care! I make sure to incorporate a balanced mix of fun and relaxation into their day. I play with them in the mornings to start the day off with energy, give them potty breaks during my lunch, and go for walks in the evening to help burn off any extra energy. I’m also open to any special activities the pet enjoys, whether it’s fetching a favorite toy, playing hide-and-seek, or just running around the yard. I believe in sticking to their usual routine to keep them comfortable, but I also love incorporating little distractions, like treats or new toys, to keep their minds engaged when they miss their parents!
