I'm currently working part-time and heading back to school soon. My schedule may shift once the semester starts, but I'll keep my calendar updated! As of right now my schedule is pretty open and I can provide care all weekdays, but weekends are a little tougher (but if really needed I can always try to move things around).

Safety, trust & environment

My top priority is making sure you and your pets know they're in safe, loving hands. Bathroom breaks, meals, fresh water, and plenty of cuddles are always part of the routine. And if you're comfortable with it, my dog Tobi loves meeting new friends so we can always swing by for some playtime!

Information Ally D. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pets have any special needs or health needs ahead of time so I can make sure I'm properly prepped to give them the best care possible. I work best with a routine or schedule, so I prefer if you leave me a small list of instructions or specific times your pet may need care. If your pet is prone to attempting escapes (something I'm unfortunately very familiar with), I'd appreciate it if you told me the best course of action in case something does happen.

A typical day

I love taking dogs with me whenever I can. Car rides are a trusted activity in my house (with proper safety procedures, of course). Living on Long Island means we've got one of the best places to bring your pup...the beach! And spending time outside is a must, so time in the backyard or a good walk is always part of the routine.

Pet care experience

Hi I'm Ally! I grew up surrounded by dogs and my love for them has only grown over the years! I currently have two at home, Luna, a 10-year-old rescue terrier mix, and Tobi, a 6-year-old Pembroke Welsh corgi. Altogether my extended family includes 6 dogs, 2 cats, and a few chickens. (You should see our house at Christmas!) I have lots of experience with both small and large dogs but I love all shapes and sizes. Playtime is a big deal at my house, but rest and relaxation are a must too. Cuddling is my absolute favorite thing! I love helping others, especially when they're dogs. I found Rover through my sister and sister-in-law, who have watched dogs themselves, so I've learned the ropes through their experiences.
