I spend the majority of my free time studying dog behavior and training as well as spending time with my two pups at home! I would love to gain more hands on experience while also helping others. If I leave the home, it is typically for no more than 4 hours a day.

I own two, four year old dogs at home. I rescued them both when they were about 4 weeks old. I bottle fed one of the puppies and aided the delivery of the other puppy. I have potty trained, socialized, and taught basic obedience to both dogs throughout the last four years. We also have overcome a handful of medical issues.

I would like to be aware of any medical issues as well as how the dog handles interactions between new people and other dogs. It is very important that dogs in my care work well with children. Any personality information such as favorite games/treats is also very appreciated!

My daily activities mostly revolve around dogs! I personally take my dogs on walks 2 times a day if possible and frequently visit the Lynchburg dog park. Our favorite walk spots are Blackwater Creek trails and Percivals Island in downtown Lynchburg.

I have raised dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters and even a beautiful conure bird. My husband and I have been sitting since 2019. I was lucky enough to discover my passion while working at the Lynchburg Humane Society as an adoption counselor in 2018. At LHS I learned how to handle animals of all shapes and sizes! In the years following, I have completed a basic obedience training course through Penn Foster Career College, as well as engaged in an internship program with Dog Days Pet Services inc. under certified behaviorist Ron Herbert. I’ve dedicated my career to helping other people rebuild their relationship with their best friends. Sitting has been a wonderful way for me to connect with others while gaining hands on experience with so many different pets. Also I mean, who can resist a job where you get to play with tons of animals all day? It’s a dream! I have two young boys at home, Parker was born in March of 2022 and Oliver was born in August of 2024. While I am home with them, sitting has become my full-time job. I have been absolutely blessed with the opportunity to spend my days doing what I love! These boys have become my partners in crime (and unintentional interns).

Aaliyah was amazing! She is incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and so sweet. She was very attentive and immediately picked up on Reconquista’s behavior, which really impressed me. You can tell she truly understands dogs and genuinely cares about them. I felt very comfortable leaving Reconquista with her and will do so in the future! Highly recommend Aaliyah!!!!!
This was our first time using rover, Alliyah has set a pretty high standard so far! She was so great with helping us out last minute and being extremely flexible with timing to pickup and drop off. 10/10!
Alliyah is a fantastic sitter. My cat Tripp is super shy and hadnt been around young kids or other dogs/cats much before, but she did great with Alliyah. Her kids are very respectful to the animals, she was super patient and loving with Tripp, and overall she just took great care of her. 10/10 sitter!
I felt very comfortable leaving Stella with Alliyah and her family. Alliyah took great personal care of Stella. She sent me daily updates. Alliyah worked with my crazy flight schedule and daylight savings time. Thank you Alliyah!
