Hi there! We are Allison and Tarun! We’re an active, reliable, dog-loving couple offering boarding and daycare in the Hillside area. What makes us a great fit: - Two attentive caregivers (lots of supervision & flexibility) - Active lifestyle with daily walks (trail access right outside our door) - Calm, structured home environment, with individualized care and attention A little about us: I previously worked at a dog daycare in Vancouver, where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages and temperaments, including high-energy and more reactive dogs. My partner of 11 years, Tarun is a life-long dog-lover and outdoor adventure seeker looking to explore more of the island. Tarun and I also had a husky together, Loki, who sadly passed away in September, we truly understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pup. We both genuinely miss having a dog around and we would love to be able to provide the same level of care and attention to your pup as we did with our Loki. I am so glad that I trusted Allison with my dog, and that I continue to trust her when I need someone to take care of my big guy! She was able to make his stay stress free and it is clear that he feels comfortable and really at-ease around her. She is knowledgeable about good pet care, knows what dogs need to feel comfortable, and clearly loves hosting our guy! I really recommend her care.
Allison and Tarun are beautiful human beings who are trustworthy, responsible and communicative. I have boarded my dog with them with absolutely no issues and my pup is absolutely in love with them. They have a ton of experience and respond quick - they will be my first choice for Rover services for sure!
Allison used to look after our senior baby, Buttons, before she passed away. We hated the idea of boarding her while we went travelling, especially once she got older and needed more attention. Allison was always so sweet and gentle with her and made sure she got her meds and took her on little walks even though she was too stubborn and wouldn't go very far. Buttons loved her time with Allison and I'm so grateful our little gal got so much love! Thank you for taking such good care of our grumpy little Butt!

Schedule
I work part-time mostly in the evenings, while my partner works full-time during the day, so between the two of us there is almost always someone home. On the rare occasions we are both working, your dog would typically be alone for no more than three hours at a time. I’m home during the day and love getting outside as much as I can, so going on walks and spending time outdoors are a big part of the routine. My partner works at MEC and usually craves time outdoors when he's not at work and he's definitely been missing having a trail buddy! Dogs in our care can expect regular walks, fresh air, and plenty of love and attention. Overall, our schedule allows us to provide a balanced mix of activity, supervision, and downtime, and we’re happy to adapt to each dog’s specific needs and routine.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and comfort are a top priority in our home. We provide a calm, clean, and well-supervised environment where dogs can relax and feel at ease. Our space is open concept, which allows us to keep a close eye on dogs at all times. Dogs are welcome on the couch for cuddles if they would like, we also have a dog bed and blankets if they would prefer. We have rugs throughout the home to help prevent slipping, especially for senior dogs or those with mobility issues. Our flooring is durable and easy to clean, so we’re not concerned about the occasional mess and can focus on keeping your dog comfortable instead. Outdoor time is always supervised, and walks are done securely on leash. With trail access just steps from our door, your pup will get regular exercise in a safe and peaceful neighbourhood. With two of us at home, there’s always a high level of supervision, attention, and care so you can feel confident knowing your dog is safe, relaxed, and well looked after.
A typical day
We aim to keep your dog's routine as consistent and stress-free as possible so please let us know what they usually like to do! We would be happy to take them: - To the nearby park for trail walks and nature sniffs - On structured neighborhood walks to ensure good leash manners - To the beach for a swim or into town to a dog-friendly patio - For some backyard training sessions to reinforce their skills and maybe even learn a new trick!
