Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, as I am home full-time. This allows me to provide constant supervision, companionship, and attentive, personalized care throughout the day in a calm, structured environment. Your pet will never feel alone here—there is always someone present to ensure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I intentionally maintain a peaceful, boutique-style setting where each pet receives the time, attention, and love they deserve. If I ever need to step out briefly for an appointment, it is minimal and carefully planned to ensure your pet’s routine and comfort are never disrupted.

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. My home offers a calm, low-volume environment designed to feel safe and stress-free, Very different from a crowded or kennel-style setting. I have a fully fenced, half-acre yard where dogs can safely play and explore under supervision. Inside, pets are treated like part of the family while still maintaining structure and routine. We also have a friendly, well-socialized golden retriever, Mack, and I take the time to do slow, thoughtful introductions to ensure all dogs feel comfortable. I’m very mindful about compatibility and only accept pets that are a good fit for a peaceful environment.

Please let me know in advance about your dog’s personality, routines, energy level, and any special needs, medications, or behaviors I should be aware of. The more I know, the better I can provide a personalized and comfortable experience. My goal is to maintain a peaceful, structured environment, so I am selective about the dogs I accept to ensure it’s the right fit for both your pet and my home.

A typical day at Southern Paws Retreat is centered around a calm, structured, and enjoyable experience for each dog. Mornings usually begin with outdoor time in the yard, followed by feeding based on your pet’s normal routine. Throughout the day, dogs enjoy a mix of supervised play, relaxed indoor time, and one-on-one attention depending on their personality and energy level. Some dogs love to play and explore, while others prefer a quieter, more relaxed environment—and I tailor the day to fit their needs. My goal is to create a balanced, low-stress experience where your dog feels comfortable, engaged, and truly at home. This is a boutique, in-home boarding experience designed for pet owners who want more than traditional boarding.

I’ve had dogs for nearly my entire life and truly can’t imagine a home without them. Over the years, I’ve also helped care for animals in need of rehabilitation, so I understand the patience and gentleness that some pets require. My main focus is always to provide love, comfort, and cuddles—whether your pet needs a calm presence, help managing anxiety, or just a little extra affection while you’re away. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I love helping families feel confident that their pets are safe, happy, and cared for when they can’t be there.

We found a jewel in Allison. She was loving to our dog Bailey and I didn’t worry one bit after I met Allison. She had her own dog for Bailey to play with and also a little boy that Bailey clearly loved! I had to go out of town for a drs appointment. It was so nice not to worry about Bailey while she was with Allison. I’ve definitely got a sitter now for Bailey when I have something to do. Thank you Rover and Allison!!
