Because I m home full-time, your pet becomes the primary focus. They won't be left alone for long stretches or stuck in a crate while someone works a 9-to-5. My home is a quiet, predictable environment where your puppy can get the frequent potty breaks they need, or your senior dog can get the peace, quiet, and cuddles they deserve. Whether they are staying with me or I am visiting them, they get my undivided attention, endless affection, and a seamless continuation of their normal daily routine.

My home will be an extension of yours - whatever rules your pets have - the use of crates, or not; on or off furniture, specific feeding or walk times. I am here to support. My yard is not fenced, which means more time together outside (on leash).

Information Allison P. would like to know about your pet
To give your pet the best experience, please share their exact feeding schedule, medical needs, bathroom routines, and crate comfort level (if they have one). I love knowing what makes them happy—like their favorite scratch spots or unique quirks. If your dog is anxious, reactive, or has specific triggers on walks, please be completely transparent! My background allows me to handle complex behaviors and sensitive rescues safely, but honest details help me manage the environment perfectly to keep your pet feeling secure and stress-free.
A typical day
My days are structured around your pet's natural rhythm, focusing on comfort, safety, and individual attention. Because I’m home full-time, mornings start with a gentle walk or yard exploration, followed by breakfast and structured rest. Throughout the day, your pet gets my undivided focus—whether that means playing fetch, puzzle games, new tricks, or receiving plenty of belly rubs. Puppies get the frequent potty breaks they need, while seniors get quiet companionship. We wrap up the evening with cozy cuddles on the couch, ensuring they feel completely cherished and relaxed.

Full-Time Love & Expert Care
Pet care experience
I am home all day to Love and Protect your pet. My home is quiet and my arms are open for pups, seniors, those in-between & even your quirky rescue. Animals aren’t a side hobby for me; they’ve been the central thread of my life. I grew up caring for and training horses and dogs, which taught me to read animal body language before I could even read books. Raising puppies is my true love—they fill my heart and soul. Over the years, I have loved and cared for five of my own dogs from their very first puppy steps all the way to their final resting places—including my Shepherd (Max), my Rottweiler (Misty), my Golden/Rottie mix (Maisy), and my Golden Retriever (Lily). From years of agility training to countless puppy classes at McCann’s, I’ve poured my life into understanding and bonding with dogs. While I am on Rover to offer boarding, housesitting, and drop-in care—not formal training services—my deep background means your pet is in exceptionally skilled, safe hands. I have been a puppy raiser for National Service Dogs, successfully raising a pup who graduated to assist a first responder with PTSD. I also have a deep comfort level with rescues and senior dogs—whether it's connecting and gaining the trust of a reactive rescue Pitbull/Rottweiler mix for five months, or catering to the slow, gentle pace of a sweet 15-year-old Dachshund like Diesel. Whether you have a brand-new puppy who needs consistent crate training and patience, an elder statesdog who needs extra care, or a rescue who requires an experienced handler who truly understands their world, I offer a level of intuition, safety, and genuine love that goes far beyond standard pet sitting. I also provide drop-in care for cats who prefer staying in their own kingdom. You can travel knowing your pet is being cherished as one of my own. PS. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and I may encourage them to hop up on the bed
Reviews

We are new to Rover and feel soooo lucky to have found Allison! She was absolutely fantastic and our little schoodle was incredibly well cared for. Allison's care of Scoutie was truly exceptional. She is a true dog lover, that was so evident from the moment we met her. She is intuitive, she asked fantastic questions and our schnoodle was always her first priority. Allison was just the person we were looking for and we feel so happy! ( Yeah! We can now plan some trips knowing that everything will be just fine.) I am sure Scoutie well appreciated all the things she did for him, too - laying out his special blanket on her couch, putting his "alternative" dog bed beside him, chasing him inside, LOL, recovering his toys, helping him to negotiate the heat outside, preparing his food just the way he likes it, etc. Everything was just amazing and the next day we booked again! We feel truly blessed to have found such a great dogsitter. Oh, as well, our initial "meet and greet" the day before was a lovely experience. We all sat on the floor, chatting about dog care, and we left knowing we had found the right person. Allison has a lovely home for dog-sitting, including a backyard. Our little Scout loves his walks and her neighborhood is just perfect for that. Thank-you, Allison, for everything!

Allison was great with Luck. She asked lots of questions to get to know him better in order to best suit his needs and Luck seemed really happy when he got home!

Pippa had a wonderful, fun, and safe stay with Allison. Will definitely rebook in the future!
Allison has looked after my dog on numerous occasions and has always been amazing. My dog is quite reactive to other dogs and small creatures, and Allison has always handled it in stride. I would recommend Allison for dog-sitting and would be happy to have her look after my dog again any time.
