Information Allison Nicole V. would like to know about your pet

I like to know a dogs at home schedule, rules & training, and normal behaviours to expect during our time together. Any temperament issues or health issues are important as well. I usually check the Rover site to see which vet you use but also like to verify that to make sure in case of emergency there is an action plan in place.

A typical day

Usually my household gets up around 7am, goes outside for a while to stretch and wake up. We all have breakfast then go on a walk in whatever groups are comfortable that day. After the walk we all take about an hour rest then get up and start finding some things to play with such as Kongs, lick pads, toys, puzzles, training basics, hide and seek, and fetch. During the summer other than quick trips outside I usually goes take any animal out to play again until after 5 or 6 depending on the temperature, so most of this time is spend playing until the dogs get tired.

Pet care experience

I’ve had pets my whole life, I’ve help with fostering many, many other animals, I'm learning training, phtotgraphy and grooming as well. I love working with cats and dogs and any other type of pet. My pets in the home also enjoy playing with any visiting animals if the visitor is comfortable with it. I'm lucky that my house is easily divided too in case a guest needs some time to warm up to the new smells. Since I go to school part time and do Rover or dog training with the rest of my time I can stick to whatever schedule a pet parent wants, as each of my personal animals have had their own needs and I understand how important that is. I’m experienced with everything from potty training to elderly care with dogs, I am very comfortable administering medication (oral or injected) as needed. I am also comfortable with any level of training a dog, and can provide practice sessions while with me if needed. I do my best to send at least one video and two pictures a day as long as all animals feel like giving me time to grab a camera to capture their cuteness! There are two people and several cats and dogs living here, who are always ready to love on new fur friends. My friends who visit often to meet new guest and play with the dogs all are dog lovers too so there is never a shortage of hands to give pets. My pets are very well trained and only play with animals that want to play with them. We do two walks, a play time, and one training or house hold rule review every day for everyone along with trips outside in the fenced yard every 2-4 hours. i have a couple extra kennels, bowls, beds, and toys available if needed/requested. Usually, animals can move about freely, I do put up gates to make larger rooms play areas as needed and pets can sleep in either my bed or my roommates bed if needed. My house is very dog proofed and everything in chewing range is dog friendly. I don’t have any other than a few zoom calls, errands, occasional meet and greets, and emails most days so I can spend a lot of time cuddling any and all the animals who want love almost on demand. I do have a fence around my yard but I still take all dogs out in a leash until I get to know them and how well they respond to me. I usually stick to one at a time on walks as well until guests are used to a group walk. I kennel dogs during meal time unless asked not to for the safety of the animals and the ease of clean up after puppies. When I walk dogs I make sure I have full control of them and can keep them from getting into anything while on the walk. I make sure to watch what they walk on and know how to work their leash and harness before we head out on the walk. When I’m house sitting I go outside with the dogs for as long as they are out there and generally follow the dogs around as much as possible. I do stay overnight in the house usually unless the owner requests differently. I also will upkeep mail, garbage, package pick up, and any other regular house management needed in your absence. I make sure that you come home to a house the way you left it (minus some snacks usually) and happy, healthy animals.

Allison did a great job with Itty! She kept him comfortable and continued to be good to him and care for him even though it took him days to warm up to her. Great job Allison! He continues to be a spoiled doggie!,

We were very disappointed in the care that Allison gave our dogs and home. During our meet and greet, I explained in detail about the dog's care that was required since they are advanced in their ages. And we paid the extra expense for this care. I explained that one dog was deaf and blind and had early kidney disease, so he had to be taken outside as soon as he woke up. She stated that she clearly understood and that she always leaves the home as it was when she arrived. One of the dogs developed a stomach issue during the time she was here, and it was not reported to me. The messes on the floor were either not cleaned at all, or they were wiped in a hurry. There was no attempt to clean the kitchen except to wash the dishes. The countertops had spills, and the stove was a huge mess, so we had to clean upon arriving home. I left a garage door opener, but she chose to use a side door that was left unlocked when she left. The outdoor cameras recorded comings and goings and there were large gaps in between. I do not suggest her services at all.

Allison was amazing! From the first meeting to the completion of the booking, she was absolutely perfect. Great attitude and personality. My Rose loved her from the start. I will definitely be rebooking with her the next time I have to leave out of town!! Thank you so much, Allison for being amazing....

Allison is sweet and very kind. We felt comfortable with her and her communications. She followed our instructions for our dog (considerations for the heat, misting her down, checking her food and water, where to take her) and we know Gypsy was well taken care of. Recommend her and we'll book her again when we're back in the area.
