I’ve always had pets throughout growing up. Nearly every cat I’ve had has lived well into old age! I also volunteered at a cat shelter back in 2019 for about 8 months (then I moved) and I really connected with the shy, timid cats. I really believe in giving cats the space they need and waiting for them to come to me. In the summer of 2021, I adopted two cats (a bonded pair!) of my own. They are truly like my children! When I was a kid, I looked after neighbor cats and dogs, and started doing overnights in 2019 for a friend’s parents’ dog who couldn’t be left alone for longer than 20-30 minutes. After moving to San Diego, I started doing what we call “exchanging cat sitting” with some of my friends, where we cat sit for each other as an exchange of service rather than pay each other. I would love to have more cats (and dogs!) in my life💜

I will use whatever collar and leash correctly when walking your dog and will make sure to follow whatever guidance you give related to how your dog interacts with other dogs. I am very passionate about indoor only cats so if you tell me your cat is indoor only I will make sure to take all precautions so you cat does not get out. I am a very detail-oriented individual and will also generally follow all guidelines you give for inside and outside your home to make sure your pet stays safe and happy.

Allison was absolutely fantastic! Even with short notice, she showed up on time, and worked so well with my dog, CoCo, who has severe separation anxiety when I leave. You can tell she has tons of experience and loves dogs. She fed CoCo and took him on an outing, which he loved. She bonded with CoCo, and he became so attached to her in 1day, that he didn’t want her to leave when I came home! I 100% highly recommend Allison, and will definitely use her in the future.
Allison has done such a great job watching our dog, Henry! They send the perfect amount of pictures and updates, are reliable, and Henry loves them! He always looks forward to his time with Allison :)
Allison is such a caring and responsible pet owner. I've always known them to go above and beyond the needs of their animal friends. They have experience caring for older pets and administering medication. They watched my cats while I was gone, and I was confident that they were safe and loved. Schedule
Being honest, I am very busy! I work full time and am taking classes to become an ASL interpreter. I also have my own needy cats who need lots of attention. My goal as a Rover is to pick up jobs about one to two days per month that are short term. Sometimes, on holidays that I am in town, I can do much more than once per month (see my calendar availability!) I CANNOT do overnights, but Rover doesn’t allow for me to indicate I can house sit and stay nearly all day at your house without spending the night. My calendar is usually updated about 2-3 months out, but feel free to message me if your request is further out! I’m so happy to plan ahead 🙂 All of this being said, this boundary about my time and availability will allow me to be fully dedicated to loving and caring for your pet when I am with them! Though I am not always available to book, when you do book with me, you can rest easily knowing your pet will be my absolute top priority! Regarding taking ASL classes, I would love to work with D/deaf pet parents! I am not fluent in ASL but am pretty conversational. I am also happy to use simcom, type on a note on my phone, or whatever your communication preferences/needs are.

- Please let me know how your dog is with other dogs and other humans, and techniques you know work best for difficult situations with other dogs. Please also let me know any other triggers they have, what makes them happy/feel secure, and anything else about their temperament and activities they enjoy. Please also let me know about the temperament of your cat! I am very good at sensing it but so happy to hear the experts’ knowledge of their own cat. Happy to play and respect all of their boundaries
