I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have extensive hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I grew up with dogs, and today I share my home with my two sweet&sassy cats, so I understand the unique needs and personalities of both. For two years, I volunteered at the Detroit Animal Shelter, where I cared for dogs and cats of all ages, temperaments, and backgrounds. I’ve also been fostering with Twin Cities Pet Rescue for over two years, providing a safe, loving home for animals while helping prepare them for adoption. Through fostering, I’ve cared for newborn kittens, adult cats, senior cats, and animals with a variety of medical and behavioral needs. I’m experienced administering oral medications, eye medications, and injections, and I’m comfortable caring for pets with special medical needs. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and cautious, or needs a little extra patience and attention, I’m committed to making them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I can promise I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own and will provide plenty of updates, photos, and communication so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

When I care for pets in their own homes, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, litter box or potty routines, and any other preferences you have for your pet’s care. I understand that every animal has a different personality and comfort level. Some pets love to play and be active, while others prefer quiet companionship or extra patience while they warm up to someone new. I’ll always respect their boundaries and let them set the pace. I’m experienced administering oral medications, eye medications, and injections when needed, and I’ll keep a close eye on your pet’s health, behavior, and overall well-being during every visit. I’ll also make sure your home is left just as I found it, cleaning up after meals, accidents, litter boxes, or muddy paws as needed. Communication is important to me, so you can expect regular updates and plenty of photos so you know your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable, confident, and at ease throughout the entire experience.

We had a great first experience with Allison ! From the meet and greet she put us at ease. Communicated when arriving and leaving giving us updates and pictures. We came home to our house as we left it and very relaxed, happy bulldog. We would highly recommend her services. We will definitely rebook in the future! Allison was great. She was very attentive to my cat and she was very understanding of the needs of a senior cat. I got regular updates and pictures and Allison put my cat, and me, very much at ease.
Allison was very attentive and asked questions to make sure she had everything covered. She clearly has a love for animals. She put my dog at ease at their first greeting, and my dog was also very relaxed when I got back home. Exactly what I hope for from a sitter. I hope to have Allison sit for me in the future.
Allison responded so quickly the night before I needed last minute help with Luna during a long work day. We loved seeing all of the photos of their walks. Thanks so much!!
I wish I could give Allison more than 5 stars! She did an amazing job communicating, sending photos, and taking care of our Frenchie & Pitbull. From dealing with some messes from our sick/anxious pup on the first day to going for a long walk once the weather cooled down a bit, Allison was fantastic, positive, and comforting to have in our home. On our end, the whole experience was really great and went without a hitch. Would 100% book with Allison again and recommend her to anyone with dogs in the Detroit area.

Schedule
Although I work full time, my position is remote and flexible. I’m able to do half-hour lunch walks, as well as full week night and weekend availability for long walks. Because I’m able to work anywhere, I can spend ample time with pets I’m house sitting as I can work directly from your home!
