When it is hot outside, I have misters set up throughout the yard, sometimes we pull out the kiddie pool, and I have super powerful AC mini splits that keeps the inside of my home quite chilly! When it is cold, we have a gas stove fire 🔥

Information Allison & Jeff W. would like to know about your pet

The types of things I need to know are bits of information such as: is your dog kennel trained? Does your dog have excessive barking issues? Does your dog have separation anxiety? Does your dog get carsick? Does your dog have leash aggression? Does your dog have submissive incontinence? Does your dog jump fences? Does your dog door dart? Does your dog try to dig out? Does your dog have any allergies? Does your dog have any fears? Does your dog protect it's food or toys? Does your dog get along with all other dogs big and small? Does your dog have a prey drive? Is your dog dominant or submissive? Does your dog pull strongly on the leash? Does your dog come when called? Does your dog know basic commands? Has your dog had any sort of obedience training? These are all important questions to inform any dog sitter of, to ensure the best possible stay for your pup!

A typical day

As stated above, we are all about fun and here! Dogs play all day! In summer, sometimes I pull out the kiddie pool. Mostly it is like a mini doggy daycare. There is no end to the fun! Your dog's sleeping arrangement I do not allow dogs on the bed or on the sofa, but we have super cushy dogs beds or bring your own, and multiple dog crates that we leave open, filled with comfortable beds and fleecy dog blankets, perfect for building a 'den'. If i have a few dogs, I tend to keep them in the living room and i sleep on the futon down there with them. In winter we build a fire and everyone gets cozy! Time I'll spend with your dog When I have dogs boarding here, I am home the whole day. I might have to head out to do some short errands for an hour or two, but for the most part, either I or my partner are here with the pups 98% of the time. We also do a AM pack walk. I find this is the best way to bond the dogs together and build respect amongst one another. Plus it instills discipline and respect for me as the leader of the pack.

Full Time Dog Care - Right At Home!

Pet care experience

Ranked as a Rover Top 100 Sitter in the US and Canada!! Full-time pet care for the last 14+ years. After all fees are calculated, I earn $52 per night (standard rate). NOTE: If your dog is not well socialized and does not get along with all other dogs, big and small, please do not put in a booking request. Socialized, friendly dogs only! No excessive whiners or barkers out of respect for my neighbors - non negotiable.. I do require a one night test run (boarding) prior to any first time stay that is longer than two nights, or over a holiday. Any requests that include any or all of March 19-30th will be at the peak/holiday rate due to Spring Break. Thank you! I have been owning, caring for, and fostering dogs for over 30 years, and I have been a dog care professional, boarding dogs, for the last 13+ years. I have a 4 PM or later drop off (4-7 PM) and a 10 AM or earlier pick up (8-10 AM), or else doggy day care applies for one ($30) or both ($30 x 2) respective start/end days (in cases of added daycare, you can drop off between 8 and 10 AM and/or pick up between 4 and 7 PM). Puppy daycare rate is $59. If you need a drop off or pick up before 8 AM, or a drop off or pick up later than 7 PM, I request that you just leave your dog for an additional night of boarding. I don't do midday pick ups and drop offs. All pick ups and drop offs need to be scheduled between my time frames, preferably on the half hour. This allows me to give each dog the time they need to integrate into the home or get a quick walk before they go. In a complete and total bind, I will allow drop offs or pick ups past 7 PM or before 8 AM on a case-by-case basis, but it is $15 for every hour or increment thereof.

After a short stay, our two pups came back for a longer overnight stay. I liked the activity and attention they received. I’m glad we chose this option for their care.

Allison and Jeff took great care of our pooch! Such good care that our pooch is sad to have us home! Allison provided daily updates and photos which helped my kids feel at ease with leaving the dog behind for spring break. Thanks Allison and Jeff!

My 2 dogs had a great time exploring today as a trial run for a longer overnight stay. I appreciated the attention to detail and clear process for a successful stay. Our pets had a great time.
