I’m a graduate student at UT Austin, taking the summer to focus on my thesis, which means I’m at home reading and researching and my schedule is my own. I always appreciate when a pet’s routine can jump start my day and am able to adapt to needs as they arise.

Unfortunately my apartment is on the second floor so any boarders would either need to be able to climb or be small enough to be carried. My complex has a semi-fenced area and there’s a dog park not too far away. A smoke-free house, all cleaning supplies are kept in closed upper cabinets and trash cans all have lids or are raised.

A typical day
We’d walk around Hyde Park and sniff all the corners to their heart’s content. Then some couch time while I work on research, with breaks for play or potty time as often as requested. What better way to procrastinate on your thesis than with a pet friend?

Aside from my childhood large mutt and family cats, I cared for my dear Shih Tzu into her elder years, until she passed last winter. I think about and miss her everyday. Im familiar with senior care and the years when food needs to be frozen flat on a lick mat and play consisted mostly of sniffing and sitting. I’m excellent at coming up with stimulating activities and forms of play beyond fetch, but also am a hobbyist speed walker (easier on the knees than jogging!) and I NEED to get my 10k steps in every day.

Allison cared for my cat while I was on a business trip, and she was great. Sent good photos, took good care of my place, and her communication was excellent. She’s a kind person and you can tell how great and caring she is with animals. I would book her again and you can book her with confidence!
I could write ESSAYS on Allison and how incredible she is. I got so many picture updates always showing my dog on a new adventure. She is so sweet, genuine, and thoughtful and I have not a single complaint. 1000% will be booking her again
Allison was great with Churro. She took him on lots of walks, spent time playing with him, and clearly gave him a lot of attention and care. She also sent frequent pictures throughout the day, which made us feel really good knowing he was in great hands. I’d absolutely book with Allison again for Churro. Thank you so much, Allison!
