I grew up with a golden retriever that I had for 16 years before she passed away from old age. As a result I’m used to dogs of all ages from puppy to senior. Started dog walking at age 11 for a neighbor with additional stops to feed and check in on her pet. Between my dog and the dog I walked I have experience in putting dogs in harnesses as well as collars. In addition, I’m comfortable wiping dogs paws after a walk if they get muddy and I’m not afraid of picking up dog poop. In addition I have experience working with puppies and have house sat a litter before. I know how to change puppy pee pads as well as interact and play with them as much as needed to give mamma a break. I currently have a cat that I’ve owned for 3 years so I’m also used to cleaning out litter boxes and feeding cats. (Cat doesn’t currently live in my house, but with a housemate who I adopted the cat with in college)

Allison has been walking my dog for a few weeks now and she’s been great! Great with communication of her schedule and Murphys needs. I would highly recommend Allison as a walker and boarder.

Schedule
Currently job hunting and applying for graduate school so I’m available almost anytime during the day/night. I do sail on weekends but typically only during the summer and I’ll block those dates off from availability

Safety, trust & environment
I’m happy to feed, walk, and play with your pups as often as needed. I’m respectful of the home so I won’t go anywhere the pet or pet items aren’t. If I’m housesitting, I’ll coordinate with the homeowner about their personal comforts and I don’t have to spend the night in a home if they’re uncomfortable with it. After walking I can wipe down the pets paws if they’re dirty so that they don’t drag mud and dirt all over the house. In addition I have 8 years working with children as a sailing instructor so I’m comfortable in all environments.
Pets
A typical day
I love to play tug of war with pets or take them outside for some catch. Depending on the area I enjoy walking around the neighborhood or going to a dog park if there’s one nearby.
