I love animals of all types, so much that I have pursued a career in zoology, ecology and evolutionary biology. I have been watching dogs on and off for 14 years and fell in love with them, so finally adopted one of my own five years ago, my Pomeranian Rufous. I lost him to kidney cancer in 2023 and adopted Momo, a border collie/heeler, in 2024. He is great with other dogs! I work mainly from home, although I do go to work in person once or twice a week. I prioritize dog-friendly social activities so my clients can join in! I like to hike, run, go to the beach, or just go for looooong walks around Portland. I live close to Pier Park and the Chimney dog park.

Allison was a great dog sitter! She sent us regular updates and pics, letting us know that our dog and hers were getting along great. Our pup was only 5 months old when he stayed with her. It was his first time staying somewhere else and he was not exactly the perfect houseguest. But Allison was such a champ about managing his behavior. Thank you, Allison! Obie can't wait to play with Momo again soon!
Allison stayed with our senior dog Kiki over a long holiday weekend that ended up being very icy. She not only cared for Kiki and sent cute photos but also made sure our house was kept warm and safe during the bad weather

Sophie and Beren were well cared for under Allison’s watch! She communicated with me and my friends about exchanging keys and making sure there was no accidental lag in the pups’ care. I felt very comfortable heading to the other side of the world knowing my pups would get lots of snuggles and love!

Schedule
My work from home schedule allows plenty of flexibility! I can usually accommodate your dog’s routine. I wake up at 8, so the early birds may need to get used to that.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat my clients' dogs as I treated my own. They can hang out with me in any room of my home or out in the yard, which is fenced. We will go for walks or to the dog park, whatever works best for my clients.

A typical day
I like to walk around St. John’s and spend a lot of time at Pier Park. We could go to a fenced dog park if your dog likes to play with other dogs! Otherwise plenty of time for cuddles and play at home.
