I have had over 18 years experience as a pet sitter, starting with 9 years of dog 4H experience, having a range of pets over the years and caring for a wide range of pets, including dogs, cats, ferrets, squirrels, rabbits, parrots, fish, and those with special needs such as feeding and medication regimens. When friends or family go out of town, I'm the person they call to look after their home, their plants, and to take care of their pets.

Allison is an absolute sweetheart. She took care of my puppy very well. Even went extra miles on washing his bed. She sent lot of pictures and updates. Koa came back very clean and happy. He had a blast with her toddlers, playing in the sun, going on walks. My boy super happy, I am happy! Definitely will be going back to her. She’s the best!

I work from home and have a flexible work schedule where I can spend time with animals, take them for walks, let them out for potty breaks, feeding, and to supervise them.

I have a yard, and know how to handle a leash like a pro in a very walkable neighborhood with access to a dog park nearby depending on the comfort levels of the dog. My house is very pet friendly, with a parrot and bunny that have their own rooms/enclosures, and both are safely separated. In a client's home I would defer to the care preferences of the owner and follow that implicitly, making security and safety the utmost priority.
A typical day
I'd take them on walks in dog friendly neighborhoods, and depending on the dog can take them to a dog park near my house. I would play and do things they enjoy, and try to give them as many nice moments as possible to reduce stress and give them a good experience.

- It's helpful for me to know how they interact in public, on a leash, around other dogs, around children and or other people, their potty training, what their personality is, their preferences, likes, fears, bite history or risk, dietary preferences/restrictions, vaccination status, any medical issues to be mindful of/if there are any special needs that I should be aware of, and anything I should know to accommodate your pet and give them a pleasant and safe experience.
