Experienced and Flexible Schedule

Hi! I'm Allison, and as a devoted dog mom myself, I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your pup with someone new. My goal is to make both you and your dog feel as comfortable as possible by providing a calm, safe, and loving home while you're away. I recently moved back to Nashville after spending seven years in Denver. Before that, I cared for dogs through Rover here in Nashville and was fortunate to build relationships with many wonderful repeat clients. I'm so excited to have the time and space in my schedule to welcome dogs into my home again! I work from home, so your dog will have plenty of companionship throughout the day. My dog, Birdie, is an 8.5 lb sweetheart who loves making new friends but is just as happy spending the afternoon snoozing beside me. Because we live in an apartment and enjoy a quieter lifestyle, I exclusively board small dogs (open to medium if we sound like a good fit!) who thrive in a calm environment. Every dog is different, and I want to keep their routine as consistent as possible. Whether they have a favorite toy, specific feeding schedule, medications, or little quirks that help them feel at home, I'd love to hear all about them. Birdie takes a nightly pill, so I'm comfortable administering oral medications and am happy to keep up with your dog's medication schedule while they're in my care. Birdie is crated when I’m not home, but if your dog prefers to free roam that is totally okay. I'll treat your pup with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, and I don't take that responsibility lightly. If you're looking for a peaceful home where your dog will be cared for like family, I'd love to meet you and your pup!

Allison was so sweet to keep my fur baby for the first time when I had last-minute travel plans. She kept me up-to-date, sent adorable pics, and was flexible with drop-off/pick up times! Will definitely book again :)

Allison was amazing! Darby was so happy when we arrived home - and the house was well taken care of and clean. She sent me adorable pictures of Darby while we were gone, which made being away so much easier. We'll definitely be calling Allison again!

Schedule

Pet care is already a part of my everyday routine! I work from home, so I'm able to provide plenty of companionship, potty breaks, and individualized attention throughout the day. My dog, Birdie, and I enjoy a calm lifestyle with walks when the weather is nice, lots of downtime, and plenty of cuddles. I'll do my best to keep your dog's routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and at home during their stay.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I only board small dogs (medium dogs are welcome if we seem like a good fit!) so everyone has plenty of space to relax, and because I work from home, they'll be supervised and have lots of companionship throughout the day. I take time to learn each dog's routine, preferences, and any medical needs so I can make their stay feel as familiar and stress-free as possible. My goal is for your pup to feel like they're staying with family, not just a sitter.

Pets

A typical day

Every dog is different, so I'm happy to adjust our routine to fit your pup's needs! A typical day starts around 7:30 a.m. with a potty break and, if the weather is comfortable, a short walk. After breakfast, I settle in to work from home while Birdie usually naps, plays with a toy, or enjoys a chew nearby. Around lunchtime, we head outside for another potty break, and then after my workday ends, we go out again in the early evening. If the weather is nice, we'll often take another walk; if it's especially hot or cold, we'll stick to shorter potty breaks to keep everyone comfortable. Before bed, we do one last potty break to end the day. Throughout the day, there are plenty of opportunities for cuddles, playtime, and relaxing together, and I'll always do my best to follow your dog's normal routine so they feel right at home.

The more I know about your dog, the better! I'd love to hear about their daily routine, personality, favorite activities, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. Please let me know if they're crate trained or prefer to free roam, whether they have any medications or dietary needs, and if there are any quirks, fears, or habits I should be aware of. I'll do my best to keep your dog's routine as close to home as possible. Birdie is rarely left alone for long, and I generally limit time away from home to short errands (typically 1–2 hours, and rarely more than 4). When your dog is staying with me, they're my priority, and I want you to feel confident that they're receiving the same level of care and attention I'd want for my own pup.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
