Having owned 2 dogs, I've continued to find joy in walking, feeding, and entertaining them over the past few years. I've spent lunch breaks playing fetch with a neighbor's large dog for ~30 minutes, hosted a friend's small dog in my house for up to a week, visited a friend's large dog up to three times in a day, and would love even more opportunities to be around dogs.
