I am in the house 5 days out of the week and working two. If that happens to fall on a weekday, I have it blocked on my calendar but can still host dogs if they are comfortable staying alone for extended periods of time. Just message me for more details! When I am home, we spend a majority of our time in the backyard with lots of toys, my other dog, and my toddler.

I have a fenced yard as well as a finished basement that is privately for your pup. We do have wood floors and MANY steps in and out of the house which can be tricky for older dogs. Your dog is welcome to sleep in our room but we do not allow dogs in our bed.

We have a toddler and an active puppy in our house. We also have stairs in and out of the house. We do not allow pets on furniture including couch/bed. We require that pets are comfortable in a crate (we have a small/medium one available but feel free to bring your own) but do not require that they are in it unless there is a concern for safety. While we do appreciate all pups, we do need dogs to have basic manners so we all feel safe. If there is a concern for safety or your dog is showing us they are uncomfortable, we have a comfortable basement that is great for dogs to get some peace and quiet. Your dog will spend a lot of time outside with us and will get plenty of attention and love!
A typical day
We spend most of our time outside with our puppy and toddler. Your dog will get lots of Vitamin D in our spacious fenced yard.

I am a nurse and grad student located in the Forest area. I grew up on a farm with dogs, cats, fish, chickens, horses and cows and now just have one dog. I have previously worked at two different dog kennels, totaling over 5 years. I provide great, reliable and flexible care. A few notes: we have a toddler and an active puppy in our house. We also have stairs in and out of the house. We do not allow pets on furniture including couch/bed. We require that pets are comfortable in a crate (we have a small/medium one available but feel free to bring your own) but do not require that they are in it unless there is a concern for safety. Allison was more than excellent for our doggies first stay away from home. She updated us daily with pictures, was very helpful when I needed to extend my dog's stay with her, and best of all when I picked up my dog I could tell he was very relaxed and well taken care of from how his mood was. We were lucky to find such a great person/family to watch over our pup while we were gone. It was really hard to think about having to leave my dog with a stranger but Allison was reliable, great at communicating with us, and it's obvious she is loves dogs!
Alison is fantastic! She did drop in visits for our cat while we were out of town and went above and beyond. She sent photos/video of our cat, collected our mail and left everything neat and tidy. Communication was excellent. We look forward to having Alison look after our pets again.
Allison was an excellent communicator while coordinating our pup's day care and was absolutely flexible to help us with our out-of-towner schedule, and was wonderfully attentive to our pup during his stay. Great first experience using Rover - I would recommend Allison for anyone looking for a caring dogsitter!!
Allison did a wonderful job housesitting with our pets (1 puppy and 2 cats) for the week. She returned texts quickly when we inquired about how things were going and didn't seem to have any problems. She took the dog to the dog park just before we got home and it had just been mowed. The dog had green paws when we returned which we found to be funny, but she apologized for. Allison wrote a nice long note when she left summarizing how everyone did and what they did while we were gone. I'm not sure if Allison or the puppy had more fun!
