I work a full time job but appreciate the opportunity to provide pet care when I'm available! I am primarily available, generally throughout the day, on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. On Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, if I'm available it is before 9:00 am or after 5:00 pm. My calendar will reflect any days with zero availability.

I can check in on your pets at your home, providing them with company, food, playtime, and other care as desired. I'm also available to walk your dog in your neighborhood, on trails at a nearby park, or take them to the beach. If requested, I can provide additional services such as bathing and grooming. The most important thing to me is to give your pets the care that best meets their unique needs. I'll always be sure to send you regular updates with photos of your pets from our visits! I prefer to do meet and greets with pets and their people so that we all have a chance to get familiar with each other. This can help you have greater peace of mind and help your pets feel more comfortable when I come to visit them later. This is also a good opportunity for you to give me the full rundown of your pet's care needs, and show me the layout of the space (where the food, toys, beds, crates, needed medication, and grooming products are, as well as cleaning supplies and the garbage can in case someone makes a mess, etc.). It's also nice to know which vet you use, in the event that your pet requires medical attention that I need to transport them to.

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or behavioral tendencies to account for ahead of time. It's particularly important to know how your dog does around other people and animals, i.e. their level of reactivity, as I want to ensure our time together is successful. Other useful information may include: what are their favorite games, toys, and treats? Are they prone to anxiety? If so, how do you minimize it? Do they take medications or have a special diet? Do they enjoy or dread car rides? As well as any other information you believe would be helpful to share :)
A typical day
I am happy to play with dogs both active and mellow; whatever their favorite games are will be prioritized. Activities may include playing with stuffies/squeaky toys, fetch, soccer, tug rope, agility work, positive-reinforcement-based training, walking the neighborhood or on local trails (the forested ones are a favorite), going to the beach, and of course as much petting and snuggling as they want :) I make sure to play your cat's favorite games with them too, and give them pets to their heart's content.

Pet care experience
My pets are my world, and I care for everyone else's animals with the same love I want mine to receive. It's very important that you and your pet feel comfortable with me, so I approach every pet with the love, patience, and understanding they deserve. I've been caring for animals since childhood, including dogs, cats, and other critters. My experience includes caring for dogs and cats of all ages, many of them rescues, training puppies and young dogs (I've worked with my dog who has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen certification), administering medication, feeding specialized diets, bathing and grooming, walking and hiking with dogs, and teaching dogs how to use agility courses and how to paddle board. I enjoy taking pups on outdoor adventures, having playtime with pets, and giving them plenty of snuggles. I'm always prepared with animal first-aid supplies and respond well in a crisis situation. My car is equipped with a doggy-friendly area, including seat belts that attach to harnesses to ensure your pup is kept safe during any ride.

Allie was wonderful!! She was able to check in on my cat, Tsarmina, over the weekend and I had a great experience working with her! She sent me detailed updates and lots of cute photos, and I had no doubts that my girl was in good hands while I was away. I'm looking forward to working with Allie again in the future!
