I'm an animal lover and a fulltime sitter 🥰 ✔️ MY EXPERIENCE I am bonded and insured with decades of experience watching dogs and cats! My family had both growing up and I enjoyed training them and caring for them. Because I loved animals so much, I quickly became THE neighborhood pet sitter in middle school and high school; walking dogs, feeding fish, and scooping litter boxes. As an adult, I am still the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family. More recently, I worked in tech for over a decade and burned out, so I decided I needed a change. I started my own sitting business and started pet-sitting fulltime in 2023. I love it and it brings me so much joy and happiness! I'm experienced with both puppies and kittens as well as older dogs and cats, including medication administration (oral, topical, and injection). I take dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, and other domestic pets. Even if I do not have experience with an unusual type of pet, I am very happy to learn how to care for them properly if you are willing to teach me at a meet and greet! ✔️ MY PETS I have two cats named Mochi (because he's a sweet little dumpling) and Chewie (aka Chewbacca). They are very well behaved and I even trained them to do tricks! I use cooperative care techniques to clip their nails every week, brush them daily, and give them medication. They even fly with me to come see my family 😺 While I am house-sitting, they stay at home with my partner and I visit them daily for cuddles 🥰 ✔️ MY APPROACH I believe every animal deserves respect and loving care, as we are their guardians in this life. I always meet pets where they are and respond to their level of comfort when meeting or sitting for them. I employ cooperative care strategies with my two cats so they always feel safe and in control when I am caring for them, and I will do the same for your pets! Additionally, I am well-versed in both dog and cat behavior, so if you have a shy or anxious pet I will respect their space and needs and cater my care to their needs so they are as comfortable as possible while you are away. I know that you, as a pet parents, miss your babies dearly so I strive to provide as many updates as possible so you can rest easy that your pet is healthy and comfortable. I also send relevant information about their health and behavior, such as how they are eating, drinking, or using the bathroom. If anything out of the ordinary occurs, I will let you know as soon as I notice it and what I have done to address it if necessary. If there is an emergency, I will call you as soon as we are in the car to a vet and keep you updated. ✔️ MULTIPLE SERVICES If you are interested in booking with me, here is what I offer: - Drop ins: this is a 30 to 60 minute visit that includes feeding, fresh water, a potty break, light tidying of pet areas, pets/snuggles, and play time. We can discuss your pets' specific needs! - House sitting: this is overnight care in your home, and includes everything from a drop-in, in addition to dinner, breakfast, an evening walk, a morning walk, unlimited potty breaks, playtime, pets, snuggles, and light tidying of pet areas. I do not offer constant 24/7 care for the listed price, but we can discuss and agree on how long your pet may be left alone while I am sitting for them or I can quote you a higher price for constant care. In any case, when house sitting I will be with your pets for the majority of the day! - Grooming: this is mainly for cats and may be added to a drop-in visit or house-sitting. Cat grooming can include brushing, dematting, a sanitary trim, waterless shampoo, ear/eye cleaning, and a nail clip. I employ cooperative care techniques, as I want my clients to feel safe when they are with me; this also means if clients don't cooperate I won't be able to finish completely sometimes! - Walks: this is mostly for dogs, I will take your pup on a walk around your neighborhood for exercise and mental stimulation. I require that they be leash trained and know basic commands.
