Safety, trust & environment

Previous employment has shown me all different pet owners and pets from all walks of life. It has proved to me that each unique relationship between pet and owner, from their routine to the food they eat and toys the play with is very important in ensuring that your pet (and you) are happy. Walks and drop ins will always take place from the safety of your home with route familiar to your pet and a meet and greet will be required ahead of any first booking. This allows for any questions to be asked that we may have for each other, and most importantly, that your pet and I have the chance to meet ahead of our booking. I enjoy finding out things about your dog/cats quirks; what they like, don't like, are afraid of and things they absolutely love! Working in a rescue previously has also helped me understand more about dog behaviour, and has made me vigilant with dogs of all walks of life.

Information Allie M. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know of any behaviours your dog exhibits (dog reactivity, stranger/human reactivity) or any behaviour that I may need to keep an eye on, any health conditions &/or allergies. This includes hay-fever and any other condition which may flare up due to certain stimuli. Please also provide contact details for yourself, an emergency contact and a vet on your profile. This helps me better prepare so you and your beloved pet can both have wonderful days together!

A typical day

Walks and drop ins are often filled with lots of chats. I enjoy chatting away to the animals in my care and have many a conversation as we walk/play. Depending on your pets likes/dislikes, I'll always have a tasty treat or fun toy on hand and I also have an arsenal of mentally stimulating toys, such as lick pads & bowls, puzzle toys I would be more than happy to bring along if requested. All dogs will be walked on lead with me and I have a 10m longline for anyone preferring a bit of space while out with me (only with your permission). This is just to protect both myself and your dog, particularly when we have just begun our friendship!

Pet care experience

I attended college after high school and earned a full HNC and HND in Animal Care. From there I went on to work in animal rescues and in pet retail spaces until part way through my Psychology degree when I decided to start my own business. Growing up I have always had dogs and have experience with dogs in both rural and urban living situations! Currently I have a border collie, Hollie, who is my adventure buddy. We really enjoy all sorts of walks, from exploring the city to extensive woodland and beaches! Thanks to my animal care education, I have a range of toys and mental stimulation games and am more than comfortable to discuss any medical requirements or ongoing care. My main goal is very similar to the adverts for Rover.com, in the sense that my goal is to be a new best friend for your pet!

Second time I’ve booked Allie for drop in visits for my cat. Highly recommend Allie, she is so friendly and my boy loves her, he can be quite shy with new people but he knows he can trust Allie and she will look after him. The report cards are always so detailed and funny, zero stress being away knowing Allie is looking after my boy!
