Pet care experience

Ready to take care of your animals!

Hello! I’m Allie — a nanny and lifelong animal lover. For the past seven years, I’ve cared for both children and pets for the families I’ve worked with. Whether it’s walking, feeding, or spending quality playtime during check-ins, I always make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved. At home, I have quite the crew — a Yorkie, Golden Retriever, Bernedoodle, and three cats — so I understand that every animal has its own personality and needs. I’m available for dog walking, pet check-ins, and house sitting, and I’d love to help care for your pets as if they were my own!

House Sitting • Nov 29, 2025

If you’re looking for very basic care, this sitter may be fine. But based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend her for pets who need companionship or engagement. On our initial FaceTime call, I explained that our cat simply needed someone to spend time with her while we were away; she’s low-maintenance but used to having people around. I also noted that, given the holiday, being gone for 5–6 hours was totally fine as long as she checked in. Allie agreed to this. The first night, she was out for over six hours and didn’t return until around midnight. I restated our expectations, but the pattern continued. What we received was essentially brief drop-ins: feeding, sleeping there, and leaving again. From our living room camera, we could see our cat trying to greet her, and while not unkind, Allie didn’t offer much interaction beyond the basics. Playtime was very short, and she didn’t stay more than a minute or two during visits. It was tough to watch our cat waiting by the door and not getting the connection she’s used to. While our cat was physically safe, the emotional care and presence we hoped for just weren’t there. If your pet only needs food, water, and quick check-ins, she may work well. But if your pet needs companionship, warmth, or consistent presence, our experience didn’t reflect that level of care.

Allie came in last minute and took over for another sitter and I appreciated that so much. She did an excellent job. Clearly she is a reliable sitter and we would hire her again.

Schedule

I’m currently a nanny for a wonderful family, and my schedule is flexible enough to take on additional pet care work. I know how important it is to have someone dependable looking after your pets, and I take pride in being that trustworthy helping hand. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or simply keeping your pets company, I make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

For dog sitting i will likely be there the whole time, i love being with animals and getting their snuggles. I love to go on walks and having a dog by your side is always the best. I will do everything in my hands to make sure your dog is comfortable and treated well while the family is away!

A typical day

Typically I like to take the dogs on a walk for about an hour or take them to the door park if they get along with other dogs, make sure the dog gets out of the house for a while and gets a good stretch and walk in
