Experienced & Caring Dog Lover
Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with dogs and currently have a 6-year-old female dog named Poofy, whom my husband and I trained ourselves. She is very well-behaved, social, and has taught me a lot about patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement training. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of many different sizes and personalities — from small Yorkshire Terriers to energetic Border Collies. Since Poofy weighs around 30 kg, I’m also very comfortable handling medium and large dogs during walks, playtime, and daily care. I have more than 7 years of experience caring for dogs in Berlin, including looking after friends’ pets even before getting Poofy myself. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, playing with them, understanding their personalities, and helping reinforce good behavior and routines. I’m attentive, patient, and loving with every dog I care for, and I always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while in my care.

We left Fritzi in her/ their care for a week while we were on vacation and felt completely at ease from day one. We received photos and videos every day and could see how happy and relaxed she was. Even though she was in heat, which must have meant extra care, they handled everything with such kindness and professionalism. It truly felt like family. We wholeheartedly recommend her and are already looking forward to the next time. A huge thank you for taking such wonderful care of Fritzi!
Alka is very friendly and kind. The roommate Poofy also very playful. Our Shiba love her so much and enjoy his stay very much. He doesn’t want to leave the house when we pick him up. Thanks Alka and Poofy ☺️😅
Alka hat sich ganz liebevoll und zuverlässig um meinen Welpen Loki gekümmert. Gerade bei einem jungen Hund ist es mir wichtig, dass er in guten Händen ist, und bei Alka hatte ich von Anfang an ein sehr gutes Gefühl. Sie ist herzlich, geduldig und geht toll auf die Bedürfnisse eines Welpen ein. Loki war bei ihr bestens aufgehoben. Amazing wonderful caring couple with their own dog puffy that our dog Maya absolutely loved. They really seemed to love Maya as much as we do.
I couldn’t be happier with the care Alka and Arun gave Gery during the 20 days I was away. They took such wonderful care of him and, most importantly, made him feel loved and completely at home. Gery can be quite cautious with new people at first, so I was a little worried about leaving him for so long. But Alka and Aru were incredibly patient and caring, and when I came to pick him up, he looked absolutely happy, relaxed, and comfortable, it was clear that he had had a great time with them. They also went above and beyond when something unexpected happened and Gery needed to see the vet. They took care of everything while I was away and kept him safe and well looked after. I’m so grateful to them. It’s such a relief to know that your dog is not just being looked after, but genuinely loved and treated like part of the family. I would happily trust Gery with Alka and Arun again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring and responsible dog sitters.
I feel incredibly lucky to know Alka, and I honestly can't think of a better person to care for pets. She genuinely loves animals, and it shows in the way she cares for her own dog, with so much patience, attention, and love. She is calm, smart, and incredibly intuitive, which makes her not only a wonderful dog parent but someone I would fully trust with any pet. Schedule
I work from home, which allows me to give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day with regular potty breaks, playtime, and walks as needed. I usually do longer walks in the mornings or evenings, depending on the dog’s routine and energy level. On weekends, I enjoy taking dogs on even longer walks and always carry water with me so they can have water breaks along the way. I’m flexible with schedules and happy to adapt to your dog’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable and cared for.

I live in a spacious apartment where dogs have enough room to move around comfortably and feel at home. Dogs are welcome on the sofa, and I have plenty of toys from my own dog, Poofy, to keep them entertained and engaged. I also have a balcony where dogs can safely relax, enjoy some fresh air, or sunbathe if they like. I always make sure pets feel safe, supervised, and comfortable in my care, while also respecting any routines, boundaries, or training preferences provided by the owner.
