Mel & Aliyah here the owners of 4 Paws Down DC! We started are Pet Care Business in spring of 2020. We are very passionate of animals and their wellbeing. We’ve grown up with animals and it’s only right that we continue to adopt and grow our pet family. We provide lots of play time, walks, training lessons if needed and much more. Providing safe and loving care for your per is our top priority for your pet. Being around animals is what we love and plan to share with you and your family. We are home majority of the day throughout the week! We have some pets that are walked daily or that need transportation to and from daycare. Our home is animal and child friendly! We have a fenced in yard with lots of space for your pup to run around or bathe in the sun!

A’liyah and Mel are the best dog sitters! My dog loves their dogs and it feels so great to have people I can rely on to watch Ginger while I am out of town! My dog is a large Pitt/Rottweiler mix.
I highly recommend Aliyah, she is responsible, responsive and attentive. Aliyah visited my 3 cats and gave two of them medication. I am grateful for her care and the time she took to tend to the needs of my cats. 💛💛💛💛

I’ve known Aliyah for 2 years , and she’s an AMAZING dog caregiver. When I would have to work early , and Pebbles (my dog) needed to be walked and fed on a timed schedule, Aliyah was there to make sure she was. Aliyah is very responsible, everytime I came home everything was in the exact way I left it or even better. Aliyah has even fed my two turtles ( Jimmy and John ) if I have forgotten to. She’s very flexible with hours , and a bet dependent person.

Schedule
We both work from home! Our daily schedule is pretty consistent and flexible. We have our weekly walks with other clients and typically will bring dogs to exercise and explore the outdoors.

Our yard is very spacious and fenced in! We like to follow your pets feeding instructions to maintain your schedule. We try to accommodate the pet parent’s request on how and what they may want for they’re pet while in our care.

A typical day
We like to keep our pets active for the most part. We’ll take them on their morning walk and let them run around in the backyard for a few zoomies! We’ll feed them breakfast and give them a treat occasionally. Throughout the day we may bring your pet on the daily walks to meet other pets and explore outside.
