I am an early riser and come by to hang out with my dog for lunch every day. I also have evenings off to enjoy with them whether it’s a long walk or playtime in the house!

Tito roams free in the house but I always make sure my pup and the clients get along well before booking. I watch them on the doggy cam while I’m gone and always frequently check in to make sure all is well. My number one concern is making sure everyone is comfortable and happy so I do whatever it takes to ensure that with my clients.

Does the dog get along with other dogs and does the dog have any behavioral issues to be aware of. Is the dog territorial with food?
A typical day
We will visit the puppy park and beach (weather permitting). I can have play dates with additional dogs for extra playtime if you would like. I have many toys from bones, squeaky toys, ropes, etc. Many walks around town to help with any anxiety or sadness from being away from their owner.

I have had animals in my life ever since I was born. I am a huge dog person and fostered pups before I got my own. I have a chihuahua/mini pincher mix who loves people and other animals, no matter the size! If I am away for work, I constantly watch my pup on the doggy cam. I ensure he gets at least two walks a day, play time at least 3 times a day, and all the snuggles he wants! I've became very skilled at potty training as we went through it living in a high rise. I have a flexible schedule and live/work in Highwood/Highland Park. I have evenings off and do not mind early mornings or weekend appointments! Please let me know how I can help you and your dog!

Honestly, I was really disappointed with the care provided for our two dogs. We have used sitters through rover in the past and have always had great experiences until now. Before dropping off our dogs we measured out the amount of food they would need and when we brought them home we saw that a ton of their food was returned home meaning they did not eat… which they always do because they love to eat. First thing we got home our dogs begged for water and could not get enough, we have never seen our dogs so hungry or thirsty and are honestly really sad that they got such a low quality of care while we were gone. This is the first time that they have come home like this after being at the sitters and we were all honestly really shocked as we’ve never seen them like this. We contacted Alix about this and she told us that she didn’t leave them water when she went to work and that perhaps they were so thirsty because they played a lot. We have had our boys for a couple years and they have never acted like this even though they are always high energy and play a lot. We are just really sad about this experience and will be using a different sitter in the future.
Alix was the best dogsitter I have ever had! I went out of town for 4 days and she house sat my pup. I'm always nervous leaving for that long, but Alix did everything she could to put me at ease. She even offered to text my roommate every time she was on her way over so that my roommate wouldn't be caught off guard when she came by. She sent plenty of photos and updates which I really really appreciated. She went above and beyond, making sure that Abbey had treats and was well-loved while I was away. I would recommend Alix to anyone that needed a dog sitter!!
Alix is AWESOME!!! My dog does not do well with strangers and gets pretty anxious, but Alix kept me up to date and took amazing care of my pup. She is caring and very open and informative about what’s happening with your dog. I will definitely be using her again
Alix took a last minute booking from me and was great! She sent me lots of pictures and updates. My dog and her dog, Tito, seemed to get along great (he is so cute).
