Availability

I’m currently working full-time, so I have plenty of time to play with your petson weekends and help with their care. I just need plenty of notice in order to maintain professionalism with my job. I’m not able to do boarding at this time. Of course, my availability can depend on when or how long you need house sitting services, where I come to your house to drop in and take care of your fur baby/babies. Please reach out to let me know details and we can talk about a plan or if not then I hope you find the best care for your fur babe(s).

Safety, trust & environment

I like to ensure that your pet is comfortable in their own home with a new person like myself there, typically I like to make sure to meet your pet with you there first as an introduction so your fur babe is accustomed to me being in their environment. Other than that, I won't force a play time if you're dog wants to lounge, but if they have a routine or a schedule, then please let me know so I can adhere to it. I would still like to engage with your fur baby and ensure exercise and mental stimulation is utilized in long term stays, since short term stays or dog walks will be already stimulating. I like to still make sure each fur baby is given appropriate attention and loving care as if they were mine. Of course, if there are any other details that I need to know about your pet, please be sure to relay them to me.

Information Alissa P. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or is particular about certain things so I may be aware and account for them. Please let me know if your dog has already eaten, drank or used the restroom recently, so I know the sense of urgency with each task and if your dog is on a schedule, then please update me so I may maintain his or her schedule. Also, let me know if your dog likes certain treats or toys so I may be able to accommodate and ensure that your dog has the approved and preferred treats by you as their owner. Please be sure to bring anything that your dog may require especially when it comes to their food or other special dietary needs since each dog typically cannot handle every option out there for their own digestive health. Please include any medicine, toys or anything else you can think of that might be needed for your fur baby. Also, you are more than welcome to text, call or video chat throughout the walk or house sitting.

A typical day

I love to stimulate your dogs physically and mentally. We will play games and even go on adventure walks and check out some smells in the neighborhood. I'm open to having a chill day with your pet or we can always go for a walk if the weather permits and find adventure! If you have a routine with your pet, then let me know and I'd love to help maintain that familiarity. Please be sure to notate any important information such as allergies or any specific amounts of dog food and frequency when it comes to feeding. Of course I'm willing to ensure your pet is at least taken out to potty as frequent as every two hours or just a few times per day when your pet lets me know to go. At night, if your pet loves snuggles, then I don't mind letting your dog cuddle with me on any pet approved furniture if they are comfortable or even set up their own sleeping space for them to be cozy. I will also note that I will be sure to take your pet outside for the last potty break and we can come inside to relax/get set up for bed. You are responsible for bringing your pet's supplies such as: toys, food and leash with harness or collar.* *Most housing communities requires that all dogs are on leashes for their own safety.

Love all paws as if it’s my paws

Pet care experience

I have worked with many different types of pets ever since I was 10 years old and learning how to earn my own income. I have volunteered my time at shelters and have fostered animals as they were in between homes and shadowed a veterinarian. My volunteering skills include being calm and loving to all pets as if they were my own, and understanding basic knowledge about their routines and needs. A few of my favorite moments of volunteering was giving love and comfort to those pets that were in hospice or maybe even about to see the big chew toy in the sky. I have a love and passion for animals as they help people so much and I have been an advocate for animals as well as sponsored a fundraiser for a cat shelter out of state. Ask me more if you’re interested and I’d be glad to share and I’m always willing to learn more!
