I am a passionate dog walker and animal welfare advocate. I bring expert care from training dogs and working with children at a dog trainer camp back in Toronto. For three years, I worked as an animal education team member caring for all things fuzzy and scaly, such as bunnies, guinea pigs, hedgehogs and snakes. Safety, trust & environment
The safety of animals is utmost important. I am an avid advocate for safe on-leash walks, ensuring neighbourhoods are safe for pets to walk through, exploring scenic and natural paths that are dog friendly! Not all dogs are friendly, and that is why communication is key to ensure all pets stay safe. Interactions between dogs need to be consensual between all owners, and all dogs, this is best to avoid risk of injury or trauma!

This was Alissa's first time sitting Ruhi and Milo and it was an overnight stay. She arrived on time, followed all my instructions, double checked things she was unsure of and communicated with me throughout the day. The babies clearly loved her and seemed very comfortable being with her overnight. She was patient with me checking in several times through the day and was extremely professional in that she informed me if and when she had to step out for a bit. I will definitely recommend her to others and have her sit Ruhi and Milo again for certain!
Alissa is one of the kindest, most caring, and accommodating people I’ve ever met. She’s the kind of person who gravitates towards the pet in the room simply because she loves them so much. Alissa has worked with so many pets and numerous exotic animals through her previous work experience which is not only a testament to her work ethic but her adoration and great care for animals. If I should ever need a pet sitter she’d be the person I would call. I can’t recommend Alissa enough!!

Schedule
I’m currently a university student at UWaterloo, studying in a masters program. I’m based in Vaughan, Ontario. My schedule is pretty flexible at the moment, and I would like to work around my school schedule to meet the needs of your pets!
