I grew up with a house full of pets. This has given me a strong love for animals of all kinds. I have also cared for a wide variety of animals (including dogs, cats, iguanas, birds, etc) and am comfortable caring for large dog breeds as well (I have grown up around Rottweilers, German Shepherds and Pitbulls). I also feel comfortable watching and caring for young animals and those who may need additional attention, such as administering topical or oral medicine or even hand-feeding them.

At home, I have 2 kittens of my own who I love spoiling! They are extremely playful and cuddly, and have even gone on vacation with us in the past. As a pet sitter, I am very attentive, responsible, and caring. I am happy to give lots of pets when they are wanted, but I also understand that all animals are different and am confident caring for animals with special needs or accommodations.
Ratings and reviews
Alissa took great care of my kittens Margarita and Mochatini. I’d only had them for a month, so I was nervous about leaving them. Alissa came over for a meet-and-greet which went well. She took great care of my kittens, was very communicative, and also sent pictures. She spent time playing with them while she was here. When I got home, the kittens were very content and I could tell that they had been well cared for. I will definitely ask Alissa to care for my kitties in the future!

Alissa was so great with my two cats, one of them pretty shy. They felt comfortable with her and she was great with communicating with me before and during the time I was away. She’s great!
Another great job.
I’m so glad I found Alissa here on Rover. We met a couple weeks before I went on my trip so she could meet my guys and go over some care issues. I felt very comfortable with her after that. For the two weeks of my trip she regularly stopped by as agreed and provided updates and photos each time. There were a couple of care issues that she covered very well. Overall I was so impressed with how she took care of my cats. I hope she’ll be available in the future when I travel.

Schedule
After being laid off, I am looking for ways to supplement my income while also doing things I am passionate about - like caring for animals! Because of this, I currently have a flexible schedule.
