Patient Care Giver

Pet care experience

I have been an animal person all my life but started to have my own pet about 4 years ago and have learned so much in that time. I believe that it is the animals world and we are simply along for the ride. The outdoors are what give dogs happiness and a purpose so I like to let the dog take lead during walks for the most part. They deserve the freedom to safely explore without being tugged along. I also believe in "leave no trace" in all aspects of life, including dog waste and toys. Every animal has such a unique personality and I love getting to know them! With a set of expectations clearly agreed on prior to the service, I will be able to take care of your animal the way you'd do it yourself.

Alison provided an exceptional Rover experience, striking the perfect balance between keeping us informed and allowing us to fully enjoy our time away. Her communication was just right, ensuring us that everything was okay without overwhelming us with constant updates. It was a relief knowing that Sully, our sometimes difficult dog, was in her capable hands. Alison's bravery and genuine embrace of Sully's quirks truly stood out. Despite his challenges, she welcomed him with open arms, making sure he felt comfortable and loved throughout his stay. It was evident that Sully had a fantastic time under her care, which put our minds at ease. We wouldn't hesitate to entrust Alison with Sully's care again in the future. Her dedication, communication skills, and genuine love for animals make her an outstanding Rover sitter. Thank you, Alison, for providing such a positive experience for both us and Sully!

Every visit for dogs would include a walk, length varies per dog, bathroom breaks at the beginning and end, meals if needed and a fresh bowl of water, and lots of playing. Cat care would include playing, litter changes, water refills, and feedings if needed. My personal animal is on medications so I am also comfortable giving medication, with clear instructions.

Information Alison U. would like to know about your pet

Let me know any tricks you use for more challenging situations if you have any. This could be a spoon of peanut butter for a pill, a specific toy, walking route, special needs, etc.. During the walk, are there any bad habits you are working on correcting?

A typical day

I love going on walks in places that are new and I like the dog taking the lead. Allowing them to sniff their path always makes the walk more enjoyable for the both of us. I love to play fetch, tug-a-war, etc..
