Pet care experience
Pets are just happier at home
My dog care experience spans all ages and breeds. I know puppies are more work, but I enjoy working with them on leash and obedience training to maintain good habits while their people are away. I have experience with giving daily medications and have cared for senior dogs, one who needed daily blood sugar testing and insulin shots.

Qualifications
Ratings and reviews
Alison did a great job of watching our two dogs when we were gone for 10 days. She rearranged her schedule to help us on short notice, which we were ever so grateful. She kept us well-informed and sent us pictures throughout. She responded quickly to any questions we had. She also did a wonderful job of cleaning the house before we came home. I would highly recommend Alison.
Alison was great! Very communicative and kind. The puppies seemed very happy 😊 Would highly recommend!!

Alison was fantastic! She was very communicative and took excellent care of Nook while we were away. He was clearly happy and well cared for, and she kept him calm and comfortable during the Fourth of July fireworks, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend!

Alison was great! She helped out with a last minute booking, and was able to squeeze us in. Cooper seemed to really like her. Alison was quick to reply and sent updates of their day together. I'll definitely look to rebook with her in the future!

Alison was a great peace of mind while we were on vacation for a week. We were a little nervous, but she was very communicative, reached out, and responded promptly which was great. She kept me in the loop with photos of our elderly beagle and we came home to a super clean home. I already tried booking her a few weeks later. Highly recommend Alison for any house or pet sitting!
Alison was amazing as our house sitter and cat sitter while we were on a camping trip for our two kitties. This was our second time having a house sitter and the peace of mind we had was such a comfort. Even though we didn’t have reliable service she checked in with us, gave us updates and pictures and even a video of our shy kitty warming up to her for some pets. We will absolutely rebook with Alison if we need to again in the future. And while I had noticed she said something in her bio about cleaning up after her stays, the feeling of coming home after a long day of driving to a nice and tidy home was really appreciated.

Calendar and availability
Schedule
I started pet sitting for clients when I was house cleaning during the time I was in grad school. Because I was already working in their homes and had biweekly interactions with their pets, it was an easy transition to pet care. It was also during this time that a couple of professors inquired about pet sitting. I was a backup for one of thier regular sitters and the other, I'm still their regular sitter 7+ years later.
Where your pet will stay
Safety, trust & environment
I care for your pets the same way you would. They like to sleep in the bed with me? Cool. They need extra outside play time or walks to keep their anxiety low because you're gone? Done. I am very intuitive to reading their energy and do everything I can to meet their needs. Do you have some anxiety about being away and want pictures daily? Got it covered. My experience with house cleaning also menas I take care of the spaces I am staying so I am happy to water house plants and take care of gardens if needed.
A typical day
If dogs need high energy play time depending on yard at home or dog park visits we can go out as much as they are used to or more if needed to get out any separation anxiety. On walks I focus on leash training basics. I know that smell is their way of experiencing and communicating, so walks are not rushed so there is plenty of time to explore all the smells. I like using traing treats if dogs are reactive to other dogs while on leash. I don't use my phone while on walks. I stay focused on dog and my surroundings to cross streets if necessary and to be respectful of signs to keep clear. I adjust my sleep schedule to the pet's routine. If they want to wake me up at 6 am to go potty or that is their regular meal time I am always flexible. If they need a short walk right before bed instead of just a backyard poop... I get that keeping to their schedule is key to keeping them happy and calm.
