Pet care experience

Pet hotel with friends.

I started pet sitting for my neighbors when I was 14 and now have almost 2 decades of experience volunteering at animal shelters and fostering dogs that are waiting to be adopted. I specialize in higher level and senior dog care including oral medication administration, basic first aid, eye/ear drop administration, nail trimming (for dogs that are tolerant with paw handling), general grooming. When you go on vacation, your pet will be on vacation with us. Any questions on what I can offer, please ask!

Alison is awesome! She's everything you'd want in a dog sitter—loving, attentive, and always keeps us well-informed with daily updates about our fur babies.

Alison did a wonderful job with my little dog, CoCo! She sent me updates about CoCo and how she was getting along, which assured me that CoCo was having fun and was being well taken care of. CoCo didn't want to leave! Alison did a fantastic job and I highly recommend her, and will use her again. Thank you, Alison!! 😊 Coco's mom

This was our first experience boarding our dogs; Both 8 years old and unsocialized. We were very nervous about boarding but Alison was absolutely amazing, offering multiple check-ups and extremely personable care. Alison is an awesome dog boarder who clearly loves what she does.

Safety, trust & environment

I live on 1 acre of fully fenced grassy yard for plenty of play time outside. Bathing/nail trimming and dog walking services during stay offered with additional fee. We have a 9 year old spunky but respectful pit mix and a 17 year old Maltese/havanese mix who is an absolute gentleman. We also have 2 indoor cats and 9 chickens for both indoor and outdoor entertainment. Your dog must be both dog friendly and cat socialized to be considered for boarding (our cats tend to keep their distance from unfamiliar guests and regularly have their nails trimmed). All new clients will need an in-person meet prior to confirming their booking. I look forward to meeting your pup!

Pets

A typical day

Dogs in our house run the daily schedule! Our fully fenced yard is great for dogs that enjoy fetch or a good exploration. We also live on a quiet dead end street away from town traffic, great for peaceful walks. There are plenty of dog beds and soft areas for napping and we mostly have carpeted flooring for minimal slipping. We keep a full basket of toys as well as kongs and snuffle mats filled with treats for additional entertainment. Plenty of potty breaks offered throughout the day as we have a senior that needs to go often. As I have a full time job in addition to pet sitting, I am not always home, however my husband is home full time and helps out guests with potty breaks when I’m away.

No females in heat
Crate-trained dogs only

Please let me know your dog’s love language (treats, playing fetch/tug of war, snuggles and pets, etc) so I can make them as comfortable as possible during their stay. I always recommend to bring something that smells like home too! It is important if you let me know if ANY known allergies or special diets (I keep a variety of different treat flavors and types).
