For cats, I can come by your house to play, feed, administer medication, clean up after little messes, and cuddle. I prefer to meet the cats ahead of your departure to ensure they are okay with my presence and to better understand their needs and personalities. All cats are very different and I will adapt to what they need, according to your instructions as well. For dogs, I can go on long walks to play and socialise them. I also prefer to meet your dog ahead of time and in your presence to see how they react and ensure they feel safe with me while we go on our walk. I will take note of the commands that you use so I can use the same. I will keep your dog on a lead unless you let me know that they are fine to be walking on their own in specific areas. I can also water your plants if you'd need me to :)

A typical day
I'm looking forward to taking long walks with your dog, I can follow their usual path to not disturb their habits or I'm happy to take them to different places, it's up to you! If your dog has a favourite toy, I'm happy to play with them, use the same commands as you do and give treats :) A typical walk would last 45mins. For cats, I will come to your house and first let the cat(s) come out and see if they wish to play before being fed. After feeding, I will stay around longer to play or cuddle more and to clean up any mess that might have happened in the mean time. In both cases, I will make sure to take pictures to share with you :)

Pet care experience
I've always loved spending time with pets, although I do not own a dog, I have spent time walking and caring for my parents and sister's dogs. I like taking long walks and would very much enjoy company during that time! I also have 3 cats of my own, all a different stages of their lives so I'm happy to provide home visits for your cats and take care of them while you are away. I'm living in The Hague for 3 years now and currently on a career break, giving me plenty of time to look after your friend :)

Alison was incredible with our elderly and anxious Queen. Fate would have it so that the conditions of our trip was dramatically changed, and Alison was a saviour angel, helping us out, keeping our cat safe, fed and loved. I would HIGHLY recommend Alison as a cat sitter, she pays attention to all the details, and is very loving and approachable for your pet. She will send you updates for each visit, and spend actual quality time with your fur baby!

Alison is walking my dog, a 3,5 years old Jack Russel Terrier - Fado on weekly basis. She is very reliable, punctual and Fado is always happy to see her! She always let me know how the walk went and sent some pictures through the app.
Alison took great care of my two cats while I was gone for a weekend. I felt an ease leaving them at home knowing she would check in twice a day and I loved seeing the reports with many nice pictures after every visit.
