Information Alison L. would like to know about your pet

Before I care for your animal, please let me know their care schedule, their general temperament & how they do with new people/out on walks, how long their walks are (if less than 30 min), any quirks I should be aware of, and anything else you think is pertinent to their care! In our meet and greet, I also like to make sure we cover how to get into your home and where pet supplies are located.

A typical day

When we meet, I’d love to know what you typically do with your animal so that I can keep their routine fairly normal! We can go on walks & sniff around, play with toys, or get cuddles!

Pet care experience

I grew up in Virginia with two long-haired miniature dachshunds, and for the past year, I have lived with and cared for an anxious dog. Over the years I have provided trusted pet sitting and dog walking services for friends, neighbors, and colleagues. I work a flexible schedule, so I am available to walk or sit at various times throughout the week/weekend. I hope you'll consider me as your sitter or walker!

Alison was very easy to work with and took wonderful care of our three cats. She made sure they were fed, played with, had plenty of water, and made sure the waste drawer in our litter robot was never too full. She also helped with bringing packages in and watering a couple of plants. Book with confidence when picking Alison!

Alison is the best with our 10-year-old dog, Bailey, who is quite anxious and has a difficult time trusting people other than myself and my wife. Alison's sweet and patient demeanor, understanding, and approachability has has helped to establish such a special friendship - Bailey is so excited when Alison comes to the house! In addition, two major factors make Alison a person who we truly trust with handling our dog: 1. Her ability to understand Bailey's needs/fears/potential conflicts, such as small children and other dogs, both through her awareness and foresight and her ability to recognize Bailey's tells and warning signs. 2. Her adaptability, quick decision-making, and (gentle) control in situations in which Bailey might be scared, anxious, or aggressive. If a potential conflict isn't avoidable, she is a master at managing a situation in real time! I would highly recommend Alison to anyone looking for a walker or pet-sitter!

Alison has done a wonderful job walking and housesitting my highly anxious dog. My dog is a rescue and has a lot of fears - rain and thunder in particular. She is also aggressive toward other dogs and children, which makes it difficult to find someone willing and comfortable to watch her. But Alison makes her very comfortable and knows how to avoid my dog's triggers. Alison is timely, personable, reliable, consistent - everything you would want! I would highly recommend Alison.

Alison is my dog Stella’s favorite dog sitter and the only person she likes to stay with while we’re away! Alison was attentive to all of Stella’s needs and quirks and sent thoughtful updates through each day of my trip. She really cared for my dog like she was her own. We’re so sad Alison doesn’t live by us anymore to use her services but we know any dog that gets to spend time with her is lucky!!
