Availability
I work from home full time so my schedule is flexible. I prefer to do in-home care in your home. Since I have animals of my own, I feel it's safer to care for your fur babies in the comfort of their own home. I'm happy to do day sitting as well as overnight sitting. I'm open weekdays and weekends as well. Since my schedule is so flexible, we can figure out whatever arrangement works best for you and your family.

My goal is to offer you peace of mind while you're away from home, knowing your pets are lovingly cared for. I wouldn't want it any other way for my own fur babies! Whatever care is required, I'm more than happy to assist...walking, playing, feeding, cleaning up after, administering medication (if needed) and of course lots of pets and cuddles! I'm pretty fierce about what my dog is fed and will strictly adhere to whatever the feeding routine is, including treats. Nothing is more important to me than the health of your pet and I take that responsibility very, very seriously.
Information Alison H. would like to know about your pet
Ideally, I would love to meet the pet and pet family before my services start. I have never met a dog or cat that didn't like me and vice versa! But it's important to know that both the pet and family are comfortable with me. I would want and expect the same if someone I didn't know were to watch my fur babies. So I would love to find out any nuances or personality traits ahead of time in order to provide the best care possible for your pet.
A typical day
I do all of the normal activities, walking, throwing a ball, toys, etc. Each pet is different so I would want to get a list of all activities the pet is used to so that I don't stray too far from it. Most pets thrive on routine so I would want to do as little as possible to disrupt that. But I have to warn you that I will get on the floor, play and be silly with them. I normally have a nickname for the animal I'm sitting for by the end of our time together...I can't help it...I love giving scratches and pets!

Pet care experience
Hi all! My name is Alison (Ali for short) and I've loved animals my entire life! I had both cats and dogs growing up. As soon as I was on my own, I kept the trend going and have never been without pets since! Growing up, I took care of several friends and family pets on a repetitive basis. Now, as an adult, I do the same for my neighborhood and extended family and love every minute of it :) Luckily for me (and you!), I've cut the tether to my office so I can just pickup my laptop and be wherever you need me to be, whenever you need me to be there! I'm more than happy to keep your loved ones company while you're away. Currently, I have a dog, chickens, fish and a gecko. I'm comfortable caring for dogs, cats, and both fresh and salt water aquariums. My partner and I care for all of them together and he's happy to hold down the fort at home while I'm helping do the same for you. I completely understand the need for boarding but personally I've never been comfortable doing that for my babies. I've always found in-home care for them so that their anxiety is low, their needs are met and they're not alone. The best way to achieve this (in my opinion) is by keeping them in the safety of their own homes. And because I work from home, this allows me to do that for you. I'm at your service!

Reviews

Alison was very attentive to our 3 dogs of varying needs and sizes! She followed our directions closely and kept us informed throughout her stay with them. Our pets were happy and well cared for when we returned. Alison was also the perfect house guest. We highly recommend.

Ali was awesome - she was attentive and active with Gogo, and she communicated really well with me. I’d definitely use her again - Gogo loved her!

Ali took great care of our dog while we were away for a week. We definitely will hire her again. Very attentive to the dog in our instructions and he got a lot of love and care.

Ali took care of our dog in our house for two weeks. She was wonderful with our dog and took great care of our house. We had some issues with unfinished work around the house and she herself had sad family news, but in spite of all of this she was reliable, dependable and had a great attitude. We would most definitely hire her again.
