I am very flexible with my hours and time as I run my own business from my home in the heart of the Perthshire countryside. Your dog would fit in with us as if they were part of our family with at least one long walk in the forests or hills surrounding us.

I have a secure large walled garden with plenty of space to run around and sniff and play. We look out onto open countryside and opposite our home is a lovely dog walk. I regularly explore the area with my neighbours dog and would do the same with yours - taking them on hill walks, forest tracks and seeking out lochs for a paddle or swim. Our home is warm, large and comfortable with lots of pillows and throws for your dog to keep snuggly. Our sofas and bed are all dog friendly and cuddles in the evening are always part of the agenda. We are used to looking after elderly dogs so should your dog have special requirements you can be guaranteed that we shall do our best to understand them and go that extra mile to ensure your dog is comfortable and happy. We have looked after many dogs over the years and a couple of years ago we looked after two "ladies". They spent the week with us and when the owners came to collect them they refused to leave us! It was really nice to know that the two dogs had loved their time with us, particularly because we knew they were very spoilt and loved by their owners.

Pet care experience

I have always been around dogs having been brought up with them and I then had my own little rescue poodle, Oscar, when I was 25. Since then, for the last 32 years, my life has always been filled with dogs. They have brought me such joy and my life is completely shared with them. They have always had unrestricted access to everywhere in their home. In our old home they even had their own bedroom with double bed. Unfortunately in the last year we lost our darling Bisou who was 14. She was the sister of our other Dog (Penny). Bisou was a darling and the gentlest of giants. Penny shares our life and home with us and is a big old standard poodle of 15 years. She is very old and wobbly but OK with other dogs around her so as long as they do not expect her to chase them. They would be disappointed as Penny can only wobble these days. I have always believed in nurturing through kindness and reward and our cupboard is always full of doggy treats. Dogs deserve love and kindness, lots of cuddles and plenty of walks and fun.

Alison looked after Squidge as if she was her own dog. Squidge had the time of her life.

This was the first time booking with Rover and also with Alison. What a fantastic experience for both myself and my 2 dogs. Alison is knowledgeable and professional and, most importantly, exceptionally caring and accommodating towards Tino&Fabio. Alison was easy to communicate with from the start of the booking and, during their stay over a couple of nights, she sent regular updates and photos showing happy and contented pooches! They were so chilled and happy when they were picked up, I genuinely think they were reluctant to leave. First class care service. Thank you for being so lovely.

I'd like to thank Alison & Nigel for taking good care of my 11 year old dog. This was her first experience of staying with a sitter. It was obvious from the video I was sent, she had settled in well and was being well looked after with plenty of cuddles!! I have no hesitation in asking Alison to look after Meg again, should a sitter be required for Meg.

OMG - what a tremendously calm dog walker. My grumpy old dog LOVED his three days with Alison. He did not want to leave and I'll book in again when I am in Blairgowrie. Outstanding care and attention and superb communication.
