Safety, trust & environment

Safety is my number one concern while watching your pets. I prefer to stay within your yard and home where your pet is most comfortable, but can also do walks in the neighborhood when appropriate. As a medical professional I'm also very comfortable identifying medical concerns or emergencies and taking action.

Information Alison B. would like to know about your pet

I like to be aware if your pet doesn't like other animals just in case we pass any while out on walks. I also like to know any tricks or commands your pet knows so we can communicate better!

A typical day

I like going on long walks around your area and letting your pet introduce me to the area! I love to throw toys or play in an enclosed yard so we can focus on play without worrying about running off. I also like playing training games to keep their minds busy and build a trusting relationship with your pet.

Pet care experience

Taking care of animals is both my profession and my passion! I grew up with dogs and love dogs of every size, but now have two cats and have learned I'm a cat lady too! I've been working as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, and boarding manager at different times for the last 10 years, so I have plenty of medically relevant skills including medication administration, injections, fluid therapy, blood glucose monitoring, and recognizing medical emergencies. I am also Fear Free certified, which is a nationally recognized certification of specialized training in reducing fear, anxiety, and stress in pets. Whether you have an older pet with special medical needs, a younger pet who needs some supervision to stay out of trouble, or anyone in between, I'll be happy to be their new friend.

Alison is a true GEM!!! She stayed with our senior dog and kitten in our home for more than a week and gave us the best peace of mind while we were on vacation. I can't give her enough praise, will definitely call on her again!!!
