Just for clarity—I go by Ali, not Alison. To do the background check through Rover, I had to use my legal name ☺️ My first dog "owning" experience occurred when I was four years old and picked out a cock-a-poo mutt from the local SPCA. Charlie, as I named him, was my first love and sparked my admiration for all canines. As I have come to learn, dogs have owners and cats have staff (I have cats, so I would know)! The loyalty and energy of dogs never ceases to amaze me and I have yet to meet a dog I didn't like. I find myself out and about watching and admiring dogs more than the people that may be with them. I'm always very excited to visit my mom and play with her dog, as they never get tired of my trips there! Some of my fondest memories are from when I volunteered at different SPCA's and for other animal advocacy organizations. I have three cats of my own (yes, I am a crazy cat lady along with my wife), so there is no shortage of animal love and appreciation in my own home :)

I am not able to host any additional animals in my own home, but I have petsit for many friends and family members over the years. I am the type of person to get down on the floor to interact with any animal so that we can build mutual trust. I am also happy to take care of other housesitting chores while also caring for your animals.
Ratings and reviews
Alison has cared for my two Jack Russell Mix children many times. Both kids are on special diets with supplements and home-cooked food. Alison has made the food, bathed them and taken them to the vet. Her love for pets is obvious by the way they respond, when she walks in the door. Since we need a sitter to stay in the house, Ali takes over with grabbing the mail, watering the plants and cleaning up the dog hair, before departing. Would that all pet sitters were as responsible... she always goes the extra mile for the pets and their family!
