Care For Your Four-legged Friends
I am a loving, experienced, and attentive person who always puts an animals needs before my own. I have been around dogs and cats since childhood (got a soft spot for puppies and kittens!) As I have been around animals pretty much my entire life I have gained hands on experience in attending to an animals needs. From giving plenty of attention, to making sure all their needs are met. I have dog and cat sit for many of neighbours, friends and family. I treat every animal like I would treat my children, by giving them plenty of love, affection and most importantly making them feel welcome and safe in my home. I am more than happy to get my hands stuck in when caring for both dogs and cats. You have a high energy cat? I have plenty of toys that will keep us both entertained for hours on end. You have an energetic dog? No problem, I am able to take them out on many walks per day as I live a minutes walk from the park. Come rain or shine you can be rest assured your pup will be walked (and cleaned if we end up on a muddy walk!). As I am a stay at home mum, I am available majority of the days and times, which means for the majority of every day your fur baby will be my sole responsibility! I do have a communal area downstairs which helps if your pup needs frequent potty breaks or an extra run around to burn off their energy. It will ensure that your dog will be able to run around and burn off some excess energy that they may have. Another perk of being at home all the day is that I am able to take them out for potty breaks as often as they need :) The cats that stay will be in a cat room fully designed to make your cat happy and comfortable throughout their stay. I am able to separate cats during feeding, able to adapt to every cats needs and help them settle. The cat room has plenty cat toys and cat towers for them to explore and hang out with other friendly cats! The cat room has a skyline window so your cat will be completely safe and unable to get access to outside. My flat is a very spacious flat for your dog to roam around in. I have stair gates on the kitchen door to prevent any dogs being able to access human food encase it gives them an upset stomach. I also have stair gates on the living room and by the front door as well as the stairs. This ensures that whilst your dog is able to have full roam, they will be able to do it safely and under my watchful eye. This is my full time job so you're pets will be my priority, this allows me to fully focus on any specific needs of any dogs/cats.

Ratings and reviews
I’ve left Toast in Alison’s care several times now and have always been happy with her service. She is super accommodating and takes very good care of Toast each time, even through a heatwave! Highly recommend and I would definitely book her again :)

Alison was lovely. This was my first time using a non-family member to look after my cat, and I instantly felt comfortable leaving Freida with her. Alison sent me updates and pictures to reassure me that Freida was not distressed by her unfamiliar surroundings. She even gave me some good advice about a rash on Frieda's ears and suggested a good, affordable veterinary practice.

Toast had a great time with Alison, she kept me up to date with photos and overall I felt very comfortable leaving Toast in her care. Thank you!

Billy had a great time with Alison! She sent lots of updates and photos

Ru has been staying with Alison multiple times for various durations, and he’s so excited when I drop him off as he knows what he means! Great experience everytime!

Thank you for always take such good care of pancake, Alison

Schedule
Ideally drop offs should be between 9&10 as this gives both cats and dogs a full day to settle being in a new environment. I understand this is not always achievable and I am flexible to accommodate. Latest pick up for dogs or cats is 8pm otherwise it becomes very disruptive for the dogs and can make them unsettled. As I look after both cats and dogs my routine for both is different. For dogs I tend to do long walks between the hours of 10&11 and again between 2 &3. Some dogs only need one walk with more potty breaks, some dogs need two walks, but less potty breaks. I adapt my schedule to the dogs that are boarding in my home, depending on what their needs are. I don't always walk dogs together either. if some dogs need more attention when on a leash, for example reactive or very pully they will be walked separately to ensure a safe walk. For Cats I feed them in the morning and the evening, some cats do need feeding during the day which I always accommodate. I also give treats out twice during the day, once around lunchtime, and then the kids like to give cats treats when they come home from school.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
In my flat I have stair gates up in the kitchen, living room and by the front door. This allows me to separate dogs when I first bring them up to be able to safely sniff and interact with other dogs through the gates to ensure no aggression on either side. It allows me to keep dogs fully separate when feeding so they don't have access to each others food, Also the gate by the front door is to help prevent dogs from running out the main door. These gates are left open when not feeding or going out to let the dogs have the whole of the downstairs space.
A typical day
Your dog will get plenty of stimulation with lots of walks every day. They will have access to a private communal outside area should they need to go outside in between walks. I live a short distance to the local park with lots of open space for your dog to burn off energy!
