Hello! I'm Alisha and I have been dog sitting for close friends for over 20 years. I have always enjoyed helping out my friends. Now that I have recently started staying at home with our 8 and 5 year old daughters, I knew this would be a great way to spend time with new furry friends. I've been an animal lover my entire life and have been very lucky to grow up with the love of my cats and dogs. My little girls are already animal lovers like me! They love to give lots of attention to our Rover friends and that makes me so happy! Our dog, Sydney, will be 12 in December and she is a rescue that I found online. We have no idea what breeds she is a mix of, however, our vet thinks she has some terrier in her. She was a birthday gift from my husband and she is the gift that keeps on giving! 😉We love her so much! Our cat, Beau, is also a rescue who wandered into our backyard one morning. He has THE BEST demeanor so we couldn’t help but make him part of our family. We joke that being around so many Rover dogs has made him think he actually is a dog! Our newest fur baby is a female cat named Lulu. She’s tiny but mighty! She’s a very sweet girl but she’s not quite as trusting of new dogs as Beau. She takes a little time to warm up but she always ends up having a great time with our Rover friends. We don't have a huge home but we always have room for a sweet dog while his/her owners are away. We have a large fenced in backyard and I take Sydney on a walk in our neighborhood everyday. We would be thrilled to have the company of your dog to join us! Since starting my new job of a stay at home mom, I am home most of the day. If I have errands to run a few days out of the week I'm usually gone for no longer than a few hours. So your dog will be right in the mix of our loving family for most, if not all, of each day. I have personal experience taking care of senior dogs and giving medicine. I had a golden retriever growing up and her name was Casey. She was the most gentle and sweet dog. In her old age she came to live with me. She was on a large variety of medications for different reasons. She had a strict schedule of times for each medicine. I was willing to do whatever I needed to keep her with me while maintaining a good quality of life. I still think about her everyday and miss her very much. Because of her I will always be partial to goldens. 🥰 Throughout my 7 years of dog sitting on Rover I’ve taken care of many senior dogs with a variety of different needs including medicine and diet.
