I currently work from home. I am available weekends for in home pet-sitting and visits. I can do some walking/ visits during the week depending on where you live and will help out if you have an emergency. I especially have flexibility for the JCP area. If your dog stays in my home then I am available 7 days a week.

I have a fenced yard and a very friendly 7 year old pug that is very good with all dogs. I share my home with my husband and teenage daughter, both are very comfortable around dogs and will give your pet all the attention that they are comfortable with. We are home and will make sure you pet is not left alone, but will give them space if they need it. They can be as close and get as much attention as they choose. We are dog people!

Before caring for your dog, I like to know about their temperament, daily routine, and comfort level with other dogs and people. Please let me know if your dog has any history of aggression, anxiety, or resource guarding (food, toys, or space), as well as how they typically behave on walks and in new environments. It’s also helpful to know your dog’s feeding schedule, any medications, and any triggers or situations that make them uncomfortable. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe. I would like to meet your dog and have them come meet my dog if you choose to have them board at my house.
A typical day
Dogs staying in my home are treated like part of the family. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so your dog will have regular supervision throughout the day. My husband is also home in the afternoons, so there is consistent care and attention. Dogs are let out frequently for potty breaks and are never left for long periods without attention. Depending on your dog’s needs, I can also provide midday walks, playtime, and short mental stimulation breaks. Your dog will have the option to socialize with my pug or can be kept separate if preferred. I can adjust based on each dog’s comfort level, personality, and energy. I provide a calm, home environment where dogs are welcome on furniture and may sleep near us if that is what they are used to. Feeding routines and special instructions are followed carefully, including preparing or warming food if needed. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for.

I’ve been a dog owner for over 20 years and have regularly cared for pets of friends and neighbors over the years. While I’m newer to Rover, I’m very experienced with pet care, including feeding, walking, administering basic medications, and making pets feel comfortable and safe in a home environment. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and treat them like my own. I understand the trust and concern when leaving your pets and will keep them safe.
