Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home throughout the day and able to give dogs consistent attention, structure, and care. Our days include structured walks, enrichment activities, play and yard time, relaxation/place work, and hikes when appropriate. I closely monitor each dog’s behavior, energy level, and comfort, and I tailor care to their individual needs. With my training background and veterinary experience, I’m able to provide attentive, knowledgeable care while keeping dogs safe, calm, and happy in my home.

In my home, dogs are cared for in a safe, structured, and comfortable environment. I have kennels in a variety of sizes to ensure every dog can rest comfortably and securely when needed. On days when outdoor activities aren’t possible due to weather, I provide indoor options such as treadmills and a variety of interactive enrichment activities to keep dogs mentally and physically engaged. When weather allows, I take advantage of nearby trails and parks to give dogs safe, enriching adventures that suit their energy level and needs.

A typical day
A typical day is structured, fun, and tailored to each dog’s needs. We start with a walk or a short adventure to get some fresh air, followed by enrichment activities such as reinforced training, mental games, small group play, tug, or practicing “place” for relaxation. Dogs also enjoy playtime in the yard, opportunities to rest, and, when appropriate, hikes or trips to nearby trails and parks. On days when outdoor time isn’t possible, I provide indoor enrichment like interactive toys or treadmill work to keep them happy and engaged.

Pet care experience
I offer structured, enrichment-focused boarding and daycare in my home, with an emphasis on helping each dog feel safe, understood, and cared for. I’ve been training dogs since 2022 and welcome dogs of all training backgrounds, meeting every dog and owner with compassion, respect, and empathy. I’m comfortable using a variety of tools, including harnesses, e-collars, and prong collars, based on what works best for your dog. I’m a former Veterinary Technician with four years of experience, and I’m confident administering medications, caring for senior dogs, and closely monitoring health and behavior. Your dog’s comfort and well-being are always my top priorities. Boarding includes a structured walk, play and yard time, place/relaxation work, and a hike. For safety and peace of mind, dogs are crated when unsupervised, so boarding clients must be crate trained. All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, including rabies and distemper. To ensure the best fit and answer any questions, all new clients are required to complete an in-person meet and greet prior to booking.

I was very happy to find Alicyn . She is a true dog lover, and takes amazing care of my dog Doja ! Doja is one and a half year old German pointer full of energy who is now finally mellowed out a bit. I have no worries with Alicyn. Doja wags her tail and goes with her no problem . Alison will always send pictures of her and activities throughout the day ma . Also sends me info on leashes/collars and the proper and safest ways to use them. She has gone so far as to cutting Doja ‘s nails! :-) Doja is such a better dog since being with Alicyn . She sits on command comes on command doesn’t jump on anyone anymore, and makes complete eye contact with me . Alicyn not only helped Doja , but she helped me!! Thank you Alicyn for giving me a peace of mind while away and for helping me and Doja ‘s relationship, I enjoy her and she enjoys me, and that is the best part of it all . Alicyn’s the best ever !!!!!
Alicyn has been the best thing that has happened for our pups! She welcomed our 10 yr old Carolina mix and our new 1 year old dachshund mix into her home like they were part of her family. Our older guy needed a place that was calmer than a traditional kennel, caring, and offered some accommodations to his abilities (arthritis). Alicyn has been so incredibly loving! She takes them on wonderful hikes, trains/ reinforces what we’ve taught our younger pup, and is always letting us know how they’re doing when we’re away! Even though it has only been 8 months, I feel like we’ve been sending them to her for years!
Working with Alice was an absolute pleasure! You can see her love and devotion to all the babies she puts in time to care for. She is especially great with the nervous, untrained, and slightly angry pets (my cat)! She has great communication and always keeps me updated. I would definitely recommend her as a pet sitter and an personally looking forward to working with her again :)
Alicyn is the best with my 2 year old lab Marley, who can be quite the handful at times. Alicyn is nice, attentive, and LOVES animals so much--it's obvious how much the animals love her too. I don't trust many people with my puppy but anytime I go away, Alicyn is the only person I want taking care of my little girl. No other person compares!!
