Pet care experience

Caring, communicative, and present

I have a fenced backyard and live close to a park. I have experience with senior dogs, deaf dogs, and dogs with anxiety. I’m happy to watch dogs of any size or age though! I do have a pet cat named Odette. She’s quite friendly and knows dogs.

Doggy Day Care • Feb 26, 2026

Nort is absolutely fantastic! They took excellent care of Tony and I’ll definitely be using them again! They’re very communicative and easy to reach. I felt at ease when I dropped Tony off for the first time because I could tell he felt right at ease, which he usually takes awhile to warm up. I know he will be excited the next time I drop him off.

I’ve known Nort to be a dependable and genuinely caring sitter! They really understand that every pet is different and take the time to follow routines, give attention, and make pets feel comfortable and safe. I would trust Nort wholeheartedly with any pet.

Schedule

I work full time Monday through Friday 8 to 4 and prefer to pet sit from my house. I keep pretty regular hours and am usually around throughout the day. I do go to the gym 4–5 days a week for about 30–60 minutes, but I’m otherwise home and available.

Safety, trust & environment

Pets

A typical day

I live near Wilshire Park Dog Park, so if your dog is comfortable with dog parks, we can enjoy fun outings like playing fetch and exploring together. I also love going on walks, playing tug-of-war, and providing enrichment activities such as lick mats and treat puzzles to keep pets mentally engaged and happy. For cats, I offer lots of enrichment too, from crinkle balls and multiple scratchers to lick mats and cozy, safe hiding spots that help them feel secure while they play and relax.

Before caring for your pet, I love to know what’s normal behavior for them versus what might be out of character, this helps me quickly recognize when they’re happy, stressed, or not feeling well. It’s also helpful to know: - Their daily routine (feeding times, walks, play, medication, sleep habits) - Any behavior quirks or triggers (fear of loud noises, reactivity to other animals, hiding spots, etc.) - Leash or handling preferences, and how they do with strangers, kids, or other pets - Favorite toys, activities, and comfort items - Any dietary restrictions, allergies, or medications (plus how they’re usually given) - House rules you’d like me to follow (furniture, crates, litter box setup, etc.) - How they typically communicate needs, for example, signs they need a potty break, want space, or are ready to play - Emergency contacts and preferred veterinarian information My goal is always to keep your pet feeling safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible while you’re away.
