Pet care experience

Las Vegas Sitter & Healer | WFH FT

Very attentive, patient, calm and in tune with animal's energy overall and found that this makes your pet's transition from you, pet owner to me, pet sitter easier and more comfortable for you and your furry loved one(s). Reiki Master level III certified. Animals typically receive reiki and light massage during their stay, if authorized and welcomed, at no additional charge. Most of my experience is in caring for dogs and cats but have also cared for a parrot, a freshwater turtle, beta fish, hamsters, lizards and snakes. Although Rover does not offer or cover "exotic animal" care it can be added on separately and directly if also needing dog or cat care. Currently accepting new clients for all services. All services require an in-person “meet and greet” prior to any services booked or rendered. Boarding requests: my home. Housesitting, walks, drop-ins: your home. For out of town requests - coming into Las Vegas and needing Petcare, an initial zoom or FaceTime call required and meet and greet the day prior to the stay is preferred but can be done same day as drop off earlier in the day with later in the day drop-off. This is for the comfort and safety of everyone and your pet. Cats and repeat clients are the exception for last minute requests. As standard practice, meet and greet preferred. Meet and greets are typically 30 mins. There is no charge for a meet and greet. *Please see profile for all rates and potential additional charges listed. Rates may vary depending on specific needs or Rover miscalculations. Please contact me to verify. Usually they are correct however additional charges may apply for some bookings. Case by case basis.

Alicia was amazing with our 2 pups while we were gone for 8 days! She gave us pictures and updates every day. I could tell the boys were well cared for. I will definitely use her again to watch the boys! Thank you Alicia!

Alicia provided exceptional care for our four small dogs and cat during her five-day stay. When we returned, the animals were incredibly happy, and the house was in excellent condition. She even surprised us with a thoughtful gift! Each day, we received multiple pictures showing how content and well-cared-for our pets were. We wholeheartedly recommend Alicia for looking after your furry friends!

Alicia did an amazing job taking care of our pup while we were away for a week. She went above and beyond to care for him when encountering some digestive problems, and provided consistent daily updates on how he was doing with pictures. I would highly recommend using Alicia for dog boarding!

Alicia is such an amazing sitter! There is a reason why she is so highly rated! I know my dog is not the easiest to watch! She has terrible separation anxiety and Alicia did an amazing job watching my girl! So grateful for everything!

Schedule

I work from home full time and have created a very flexible lifestyle for myself where I can incorporate many different things simultaneously including caring for people's furry loved ones. For boarding in my home, your dog(s) would be integrated into my weekly routine as if they were my very own. Since 2016 I have been a full-time Pet Sitter and part-time Reiki Healer. I also own an online vintage clothing store (that doesn't sleep), so the week will consist of staging and photographing inventory which, the dogs love and are absolutely included in. They like to hang out in the shop room with me, look at themselves in the mirror and . Most times I'll even feature them as "this week's shop dog(s)" on my social media platforms. It's fun all around. Of course all their basic needs would be met and prioritized along with anything else based on their specific needs. I would be home with them majority of the time with the exception of necessary errands. For housesitting I would bring my work with me in the form of my laptop and work from your home. Walks, playtime, feedings, cuddles, lounge time and medication administration (if needed) would of course be included daily.

Safety, trust & environment

Care depends on your pet's specific needs and accommodations can be customized. I've hosted young and mischievous dogs that I need to keep a close eye on to senior dogs with very serious health issues, strict medication administration times and physical limitations. Overall the goal is to make their stay as comfortable as possible and tend to all their needs, and some. A typical stay would include giving them a designated and comfortable place in the downstairs living room that they can call their own. Their bed and toys would start there. Plenty of blankets would be strewn across the main couch for them to lay on as well, if they preferred.

A typical day

Activities would depend on the dog’s age, health and usual routine. If they’re a puppy or very active breed we would go on several walks, the dog park or ey love it! If the dog is a senior and or has any health issues I would tone down the activity level and accommodate as needed. If they want to sleep all day that’s fine too - they would still get lots of affection (if welcomed) and make sure they have a comfy spot to rest. A lot of times I’ll do reiki on dogs, especially seniors and pups with health issues or recovering from surgery - as long as it’s ok with you. We would go over all of this as well in a meet and greet.

For Boarding: First time staying with someone they haven't met before? House trained? Any instances of them peeing, pooping, marking on floor, rugs, carpet, furniture? Reactive with people or dogs ? Bitten anyone or another dog? Does your dog like men? I have a boyfriend living in the home. He's great with animals. Any special needs/accommodations? i.e. no stairs use, frequent potty schedule, etc.? What is their activity level and normal activities?
