I have always loved animals. I grew up with dogs and cats as well as a variety of other small animals. My experience is primarily with cats and dogs, but I am also comfortable with fish, rodents, reptiles and farm animals. I believe pets are part of the family and treat them as such. My current dog is 7 years old and we love to be outside walking, hiking, playing or going to the beach. Pets, cuddles and games are also in order. I have been a nanny for 14 years and appreciate open communication and clear expectations.

I am happy to care for your pets exactly as you do. I currently care for my 7 yr old bulldog/lab, my parents 13 yr old Jack Russell terrier and a friend's 4 and 7 yr old Australian shephards. My goal is to provide consistency in care for your pet and help them feel loved, safe and comfortable.

I am writing this letter to highly recommend Alicia Messner for any pet sitting position. I have known Alicia since she was four years old. Her compassion and care for pets started with her pet frog. I cared for the family pets while they were on holiday. Alicia was genuinely concerned about the care I would give her frog. I was impressed with the details of how to care for her frog. The level of care and ensuring that I understood what to do reflects the responsibility she showed. A rare trait for a young child. Later Alicia added a Guinea pig along with the family cat and dog to her list of responsibilities. Each case she had a unique understand of their personalities and best care. Alicia cared for my cats when I would go on holiday. I adopt older special needs cats and I make sure the care giver knows there may be challenges. For six years, Alicia took care of the kitties, and I had no worries about any decisions she needed to make. I always returned home to happy kitties. Alicia’s professionalism and reliability is clear through her work in customer service, teaching art, nanny and pet sitting. She is punctual and responsible when it comes to scheduling and following instructions. Whether it is administering medication, sticking to specific feeding routines, or adhering to any special requests, Alicia goes beyond to ensure the well-being of the pets in their care. Alicia has taken care of our 100lb dog multiple times before. She is amazing with animals and our dog is always excited to see her. She pays close attention to his dietary restrictions and needs. She enjoys walking so he always gets a nice long walk or hike with her.

Schedule
I am building my art business and looking to supplement my income through pet care. I prefer to do weekend pet care or walks during the week. My dog is very friendly too if you would like your pet to have some play time with another pet.
