Pet care experience
A dog-friendly haven for your pup
Hello! My name is Alicia - I am a Canadian-Australian with plenty of love and care to offer your pet. I live with and care for my own dog currently. I have lived with up to 4 dogs at a time since I was a child, and I am studying to become a counsellor who offers dog therapies. I have been trusted to care for the dogs of many family members and friends, and have been dog-sitting for neighbours and through Rover for two and a half years with care including showers, brushes, hikes, feeding, and play. I have also spent time working in wildlife sanctuaries back in Australia, caring for everything from ravens to wombats to kangaroo joeys!

Ratings and reviews
We were very grateful & relieved to have Alicia's Family as our dog sitter. Our dog Milo enjoyed his stay a lot and especially loved to play with their dog Sampa and being in the nature nearby ..She was very patient and lovely, too! Thanks a lot! All the best from us...Simone&Sophia

Our dog Amy was feeling so at home and at ease staying with Alicia. We couldn’t have wished for a better match!

Alles prima🙂

Our dog Woody had a wonderful time staying with Alicia and Sampa! Alicia took great care of Woody and also kept us updated with photos. Woody is already looking forward to his next stay!

Alicia is such a lovely person. Balu felt like home the moment he stepped through the door and enjoyed being with Alicia, her husband and their dog Sampa a lot. We would give her 10 Stars if possible.

Toni simply loves being with Alicia, Yannick and their dog Sampa.

Calendar and availability
Schedule
I study from home with completely flexible hours, and so I can totally cater my routine to the needs of your pet. By default, each morning I take a hike through the trails next to our home with our own dog. This is around 45 minutes or 4-5km. In the afternoon, I take another equivalent hike. Some days, we take longer challenging hikes if we have athletic dog visitors. I am constantly available to let the dog out for potty breaks, take an extra walk, or to play at home.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
A block from our home begins the trails through the mountain. I also often let my dog run through the vineyards. I have a small fenced-in garden and our dog pops in and out throughout the day. They would never be unsupervised outside. I have countless stuffed toys, balls, comfy sofas and bed, some zooming space, and dog puzzles. I am also familiar with various nearby vets and animal clinics in case of emergencies.

A typical day
Our hikes through the forest trails go uphill and downhill, and the nearby vineyards are perfect for zoomies! We also visit nearby lakes or the river, when the weather is nice. At home, we have rope toys, stuffies, balls, dog puzzles, and we do nose work through hiding treats :)
